Another great visit to this quirky Country Inn. A super place for any motor enthusiast. The public bar and restaurant are festooned with memorabilia from a bygone era. We had a superb Sunday lunch, belly pork with sautéed potatoes and tasty veg. The pork was the best I'd tasted in years! To finish the sticky toffee pudding was delicious. The sponge so light and toffee sauce rich, but not overly sweet. The beers were great too. Friendly service, and well behaved dogs are welcome too. It was too cold for outside but the views from the garden are beautiful, overlooking the Howgill fells to the rear and Wildboar to the front. We'll worth a visit!

We discovered the Fat Lamb Inn after taking the scenic route back down to Stoke-on-Trent from Amble. We arrived at 1.50pm, with dinner service finishing at 2pm and was welcomed warmly. We both had the Lamb shank and Wow! The lamb fell off the bone! It was absolutely delicious. The decor was amazing and I was well and truly lost looking at the fabulous amount of car memorabilia/collectors items. The best "accidently found" ever 😊

I've passed this inn hundreds of times, and for the 1st time yesterday, popped in for a meal..wish I've popped in years ago! The fish and chips was excellent. The interior of the Inn brought me back very happy memories and I will be popping in every time I've drive pass. I highly recommend this inn. 10 stars out of 10 from me.

2nd year of visiting with a motorcycle group. Great location, well equipped, comfortable rooms, excellent food and friendly staff. Oh, and the roads, on a motorcycle are fantastic.

I had Sunday lunch there. Great food, comfortable lounge with interesting decoration, and a stunning location. Highly recommended!

Great pub, lovely staff. My only criticism, the old bloke with the glasses behind the bar needs to learn how to pull a pint of Guinness.

You can always rely on the food at Fat Lamb. Absolutely brilliant.
Lovely staff too.
Lucky for us it's not far away.

Even though we arrived in the middle of a power cut, they couldn’t do enough to ensure our room and meal was exactly what we needed! Better food here with no electric than we’d had elsewhere on the trip with full power supply! Love the motoring decor .. will be back! NB: campervan parking available for free if buying a meal 💪

As a group of 13 Motorbikers, we stayed for two night half board and could not fault The Fat Lamb, for location, accommodation, food and service.
The food was outstanding, everything was homemade and delicious.
Staff were friendly, service was always with a smile.
Bar was very adequately stocked and always a warm fire going to come back too.
The bar area was adorned with auto memorabilia and other interesting items from days gone by.
Would highly recommend and will be back, but after we have been on a diet!

We popped in for Sunday lunch
Great quirky pub very motoring item related
Blast from the past if you weren't born with an mobile phone in your mouth.
Tasty dinner but the cutlery knife was an effort to cut the beef
Should have asked for a steak knife
Busy pub
Think it's popular with classic car clubs as a meeting venue as well as the odd passing thirsty hungry walker .

We took our motorhome to the site attached to the Fat Lamb, and as we ate in the pub, we got a free overnight stay. The meals were excellent home cooked style, really tasty and filling. Also, great real ale, well kept and very well served. Loved the motor memorabilia around the pub and happy for us to bring our dogs in with us.
