Good food, good staff and good value for money. They do an amazing sunday roast and the pork belly with black pudding (if it's still on the menu) is to die for. Cheap drinks with various deals on too. A bit of a walk out of knaresborough up a fairly steep hill but there's a car park if you want to drive. Overall a lovely pub and well worth a visit.

Went to the Union last night for my first Christmas dinner of the season. The service, provided by the lovely and hilarious Diane Connelly, was fab. She wore a different Xmas outfit for every course and had taken a lot of trouble to make the evening very jolly. The food was very good- full turkey dinner with all the trimmings and loads of extra pigs in blankets.

Great place,service with a smile,clean facilities. Landlady is lovely as was the barmaid. Lovely friendly place. They serve a great pint and warm pork scratchings are delicious. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended

Stayed here overnight in our Motorhome last night with friends. Great pub with lots of choice and good prices, fantastic outside area, landlady and staff very friendly and helpful will definitely stay here again. Highly recommended
A fantastic local pub. And one of the best bonfires around. No crowds just good old fashioned bonfire and a bar and a whole cricket pitch where the kids are welcome to play!
Great place to stop for a pint, especially in summer. Lovely garden area to catch some sun and either watch a live cricket match or a game on their outdoor TV. Plenty of covered areas as well if the weather isn't in your favour! Staff are lovely!
Fantastic place with lovely staff. Abbie the manager was so friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Russell was lovely and friendly too. Danyell the landlady and her partner are very good host and nothing was too much trouble for them! So glad we found this place!

Best pub in knaresborough and surrounding area. The pub quiz on Friday is a speed quiz and such good laugh followed by bingo or play your cards right. Brilliant for football and sports and will not get a better beer garden with outside Tv for summer. Staff are brilliant especially Abbie who is always friendly and remembers your orders. Definitely worth going anytime of year 😀 danyell the landlady has made this into a amazzing place to drink and socialise all year round 👌

Has a pool table and a beer garden.. plenty of screens to watch sports, beer garden with and outside tv for games… outside pool table And outside bar for the lovely summer evenings… car park at the side and opposite a bus stop!! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.. always happy and nothings too much trouble

Friendliest staff you could wish to meet , made us & dog feel most welcome , also allowed us to keep our motorhome in car park overnight .

Dropped in to the Cricketers for Lunch today as heard the bar snacks were good. Was certainly not disappointed - wide range of sandwiches and light lunches available all cooked from scratch and more than ample portion size, the best burger I've had in years! Extremely welcoming staff and great beer/wine. Will definitely be returning and highly recommend to anyone looking for a really tasty pub lunch, good drinks and welcoming atmosphere.
