Nice pub ideal for a base to walk around the lovely countryside from.
Modern decor and a very nice lunch menu. I had a stilton and banana baguette with chips which certainly was different and would definitely recommend to anyone trying out this pub.
The lady serving was really friendly and looked after us well. Will return for sure.

We usually go for the Angus burgers (which are great!) But tonight we thought we'd try the duck special. What an excellent dish! Perfectly cooked, well-balanced flavours and delicious vegetable combinations. And such a lovely pub with great atmosphere and friendly staff.

Had a curry chicken burger and spiced chips ....very nice and quite busy for a Tuesday night ......soup here is the best especially after a chilly dip in the lake

Great place to have dinner at. Exceptional service with great quality food. Nothing to complain about. The atmosphere was wonderful with a fireplace. Overall would highly recommend. On the picture is chicken, bacon baguette

Food was pleasant, tasty and fresh.
I ordered the chicken and chorizo pie with crusty topping. Very nice would highly recommend. Chips are also nice 🙂

First time we've been and we were impressed. The staff were pleasant and friendly. Service was prompt and the food very good. I can recommend the steak and ale pie. It was a thick slice rather than an individual pie in a dish with a pastry lid. Very tasty. Jan, a vegetarian, enjoyed the leak and potato pie. On our list for a future visit.

Visited for the first time yesterday for lunch (party of four). None of us had been here before. All of the meals were excellent, well presented and good value. Definitely not your average ’pub food’, very much the standard of a good restaurant. We will return.

The girls in here make this place. So welcoming and attentive. The food is beautiful and well presented. Always visit on our day off from our own pub to support our local and the friendliness of Charlotte and team just keep us coming back. Xx

We dropped in here whilst out for a drive and it didnt dissapoint
This is a lovely country pub. Staff were welcoming and friendly.The food was amazing home cooked and decent portions.We will definitely return

Four stars for the staff! Staff welcoming and helpful: food basic! Had to ask for the colslaw! Burgers plain and tasteless. Totally different than our last visit. Chunky chips just frozen such a shame for a lovely pub in a great area.
