Review Taste Of India - Kyleakin

Having read the reviews for this restaurant, we did not have high expectations. It was the only open place to get food. But what a surprise!!! it turned out to be one of the best indian meals we have had. Even comparing with Glasgow restaurants. Service was good, friendly staff. Food took a while, but it was worth the wait and its cooked properly. Im giving it 4 /5 stars and if armosphere in restaurant would be cozier i would give 5.

The only Indian restaurant in that area. Okayish ambience, mostly crowded. Starters like tandoori chicken, samosas are good, quantity is sufficient for one person. Vegetables curries and Chicken biryani are also good but the fish and grill chicken were not upto the mark. Would suggest pre-booking/reserve a table prior to avoid waiting in the queue.

Hit all the marks on food quality and test. Kingfisher and IRN BRU were cold. Naan bread and special rice worked well with meals.

Been to Taste of India as part of our trip to Isle of Skye. We have ordered Chicken Tikka Madras, Chicken Aachari, Chicken Rogan Josh along with Garlic and Chilli Naan. Taste was as close as it can get to well known restaurants in India. We haven’t excepted such a good taste in a location such as this. I would definitely recommend visiting this restaurant if you want to have a SPICY (Caution: Madras and Aachari were a bit spicy) and tasty Indian food.

I thought the food was really good and affordable. The only thing I wasn’t happy with is no Masala Chai 🥲🥲🥲 but after all my experience was great. Fast and nice services.

This is my favourite place to eat. The staff are friendly, accommodating and if you have food allergies like myself, it’s never a problem. They listen carefully and prepare food accordingly. The atmosphere is always relaxed and busy, which is a very good sign in a restaurant. The food is beautiful and served very quickly even during busy periods. There hasn’t been a single dish that I’ve disliked. I highly recommend this place! It really is a Taste of India!

Hands down one of the best Indian food experience I had outside of India. We went there from a recommendation from our B&B host and it didn't disappoint. From the absolutely brilliant hospitality to the great encompassing menu and executing those spices to create one of the most delicious Indian meals available outside of India. Can't recommend the place enough just even for the food but then you add that hospitality of theirs and it takes it up a notch. We had vegetarian dinner and after the first time booked it again for the rest of our stay in Skye. Just absolutely delicious.

Super tasty food and friendly service. Many vegetarian dishes of different spice levels. We came around 8 pm on a Thursday without a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. The waiter was helpful in answering our questions about the menu. The wait for the food was reasonable and all of it was delicious and flavourful. Would definitely return if we find ourselves in Kyleakin again!

Delicious!!! We needed a meal at the end of the night, ended up here, and it was amazing. The service and atmosphere were great and the food was oh so good. All four of us loved it. Highly recommend!

Just had a lovely dinner at Taste of India. The first dish wasn’t to my taste, I chose wrong. They immediately changed my plate for a new one at no extra cost. Great service, high quality food. I would definitely come back! See you soon.

This is a fairly good place for Indian food. But then there isn’t another Indian restaurant in Broadford area!!!…so no comparison! Vegetarian starters are very few and don’t offer a great choice either. Vegetarian main course was not bad. But looks like the place is liked more for its non-veg food.
