Footbridge Fish And Chips

All I can say is 'Thank you'! We just chanced upon this humble fish and chippery, which ended being one of our favourite finds in Lakes Entrance. We ordered the seafood pack for 2 and not only did the flake, scallop, prawn, calamari, crab stick and chips prove to be finger licking good (we were so full we couldn't finish the chips!), they gave us extra! Will definitely order here again when I return!

Great location on the Myer Street Precinct. Yes the place still has density limits but you can wait outside. I was expecting a 15min wait, but they said it would take 10min. It ended up being about 11min, but the chips were great. The grilled flake didn't look any special as it looked dry and a bit oily when I took it out of the packaging. But overall was a good fish shop.

One particularly friendly staff member (short coloured hair female with tattoos) was nice to deal with but each time we go we seem to get a grumpy/rushed employee with no time of day for us. Luckily the food is stellar for a fish and chip shop - crunchy chips, great batter used on battered sausage, great dim sims. Could easily throw a few more chips into a 5 dollar batch as it’s not much but aside from that great food. Go here at least once a month.

If you have half decent standards, you’ll move on. Oil or the batter used leaves a bad after taste after each bite, potato cakes seem processed and aren’t straight slices of potato, the hot dog was hard and not pleasant to eat and the fish was scrawny. There’s clearly no pride in the food being served. When you have 4 families looking at each other perplexed at the taste you know the food is messed up. We all know what good fish and chips are and can judge for ourselves. Hope this helps!
