Review Mark Lane Bakery & Cafe - Lampeter

Mark Lane has to be the best breakfast in Lampeter. Quality Welsh Brew tea, enough food to fill the plate and not expensive. The smell of fresh bread adds to the experience.

Fantastic breakfast with proper thick cut back, only £5.30 and very friendly staff. Highly recommend, it's easy to understand why this place is filled with friendly locals.

Great experience in this old fashioned cafe - although it took a little time before they saw us and then came over to serve us. Had just a drink and cake but thoroughly enjoyed it at a very very good price. Very old fashioned in the sense that the bill was added up on paper which we thought was quite quaint very in keeping with the surroundings back to the 60's/70's The meals that were being served looked really good and plentiful. Began to get busy by the time we left. We feel the cafe is well worth a visit just on the ambience and price. Apart from the earlier hiccup at the beginning the staff were really good and helpful

Love this place. I have been working around the corner for the last few weeks and popping in here to buy lunch most days. It's a very old fashioned place but in a good way. It feels like time stood still in the 70s. Sandwiches /baguettes are fresh, portions are big and prices very reasonable. Some of the cakes are amazing and the scotch eggs are freshly made every day and deserve a special mention..

Called in for coffee and buns with my husband and young son whilst passing through town. The lady who served us was lovely, chatting to us whilst she took our order. Nothing was too much trouble. Very reasonable prices too. Would definitely recommend and would visit again if in the area.

Food is always brilliant and top quality. Prices are cheapest around too. Best cafe in town

Nice food and lovely staff but they must shave the bread as you can see through the slices

A most exceptional breakfast for a modest price, would return to Lampeter just for the breakfast, staff were very friendly and attentive

Home cooked breakfast to dream of, with freshly made bread and a lovely cup of tea. All served by a lady who reminds me of my grandmother, in that she is really keen that everything's right for you. What more can you ask for?

Yes the lady that served me was lovely, I bought a pie, it was delicious! Now I need to find a cake for a little present, so this will be my first stop.
