My 5 year old and I happened across this pub after a long walk on a hot day. We were served quickly with a cold drink and shown where the small outside kids play area was much to my little ones delight. We ended up staying for food which we really enjoyed. The kids pizza looked like fresh home made dough which was lovely. I had a beef salad which was delicious! Beef was so soft and tender and the salad was refreshing and had a lovely variety of components. Food reasonably priced and friendly welcoming service. Relaxing and quiet atmosphere. Hope to return when in the area again.

We attended our 2 grandsons Christening party at this venue and it was amazing, the landlady is super friendly and the staff are fantastic, clean and tidy, large space for function use and also a good friendly public house when not used as a function room, the regulars were very polite and accommodating too, gave privacy to the function and respected it completely throughout, absolutely recommend 100%
Wonderful place food excellent vibrant atmosphere
Attended a funeral tea there. The catering was marvelous. Lots of choice with the sandwiches available and also accompanying assorted delicacies. The bar area was spacious with plenty of room between tables. Lots of room at the bar to order drinks and sufficient bar staff on duty to service customer's drinks requirements. The bar area was warm as well as well ventilated.
Good value food. Friendly service.
the microwave puddings are bril and two meals for 11 quid, what a bloomin bargain!
The staff are super lovely and polite, my children also thought it. Lovely food served and extremely comfortable seating outside. Lots of tlc has been done to make sure customers are enjoy a quiet drink and meal 😊 it was so so lovely.

Fab! Covid-19 set out perfect. Face masks when you need to enter the building for the loo. Spaced seating area outside to the front and side of the pub. Can't go wrong. Felt very comfortable sat having our meal due to the current circumstances.
Well,this was something else. Friendly,immaculately presented,two roomed pub. Everyone knew each other. Had the appearance externally of a typical estate pub but was not. Good food menu,two to three cask ales. Off the beaten track. For those that like pubs & their different styles this is an unusual gem.
Had a great time, friendly local pub, live music on (Saturday) and a pool table. Toilets were immaculate and the bar staff were really welcoming, I'll definitely be returning.
