Checkers Bistro

My boyfriend and I attended this location to celebrate my 21st birthday & our 6 year anniversary. Booking a table was super easy! The app was super helpful and it took only 2 minutes. Once we got to the restaurant, Amber, our waitress, did an amazing job. She recommended a cocktail, which I LOVED, and was super sweet! Our dinner was wonderful, portions were great, burger actually cooked to what I requested (medium). At the end of the night, Amber brought out the dessert we ordered on a plate that said “happy anniversary” - and then surprised us with champagne that said “happy 21st”! Overall, my experience at this restaurant was so wonderful, and the atmosphere of this location is so beautiful and relaxed. 10/10!

My husband and I were celebrating our anniversary, so we decided to go to Checkers. It is a very romantic atmosphere, which we loved. The french onion soup is delicious, the best I have ever had! Overall, our food was delicious. It was disappointing that they were out of almost everything on the dessert menu, but things happen! The reason for 4 stars is because of the service. My mom and aunt went the week before to celebrate their 50th birthday. They raved about the service and said their server wrote a note in chocolate for them with their dessert. We did not receive great service like that, which was disappointing... We aren't afraid to spend money on good food, but for how much we spent, I would have expected the service to be excellent. Maybe we just went on an off night.

Looking for a classy place to eat dinner? Check out Checker’s Bistro! My wife took me here for my birthday dinner. It was the first time for both of us, and we were quite pleased with the service and food! We had the roasted beet salad and lobster mac n cheese for our appetizers. I wasn’t very excited when she mentioned that she wants to order beet salad. So I ordered the mac n cheese (normally we share an appetizer), but the beet salad was almost better than the mac n cheese, which comes with Gruyere and Parmigiano Reggiano cheese. We ate the grilled prosciutto & fig pizza and beef bourguignon for our entrées. The bourguignon was great comfort food for a cold December night. So much so that our dinner was over around 7:30, and we both wanted to go home and sleep. 😀

We all got the chicken, and it was amazing! Lovely ambience, great service, and the food was wonderful. Loved the 1920's "speakeasy" music playing, not too loud to enjoy conversation, but loud enough to set the mood. To top things off, we mentioned that we were celebrating my new job, and they surprised us with an after-dinner sorbet for everyone! What a classy and thoughtful touch!

Great service, very pleasant and welcoming. Warm atmosphere with comfortable seating. Food was amazing! The Sweet and Spicy Thai Chili Cauliflower was delicious. Perfect appetizer or can be a meal depending on your appetite. Roasted chicken I highly recommend. Mix drinks menu was unique. Good price point for an upscale casual dining experience.

Staff was exceptional; kind and attentive. The atmosphere was perfect for our casual birthday celebration between two friends. Our waitress was attentive, but not hovering over the table. Cocktails were well mixed, salads fresh and entrees perfectly cooked. The vegetable medley served as a side to the salmon was bright colorful and delicious. The creme brule for dessert was creamy and delicious with the perfect crisp sugar top! Our waitress surprised us with 2 complimentary glasses of bubbly for the the birthday girl which was so appropriate for us. The 20 something celebrating a birthday at the next table had received a flaming birthday dessert; appropriate for her age, but would not have been for us. Highly recommended. And thank you for the experience.
