Time 2 Grub Soul Food

I ordered 2 meals for my brother and I on postmates, and tbh it was the worse food not just soul food But the worse food I’ve ever received. My brother ordered the fried chicken wings, and they literally fried the chicken in corn meal smh. I ordered the oxtails which were decent, but the rice tasted like it had sat out all day, it had hard parts in it. The potato salad tasted like someone was smoking a cigarette while making it. The mac was hard and old, the yams were somewhat decent. I was really excited For a soulfood restaurant to come out here and now I’m just extremely disappointed. The only reason why I’m not giving 1 star is because some items were decent. Please do better.

I gave them 3 chances and the service was very bad all 3 times. After calling in the orders and told 30 minutes I had to wait an additional 20-30 minutes each time after I arrived. On this last order the Gumbo I ordered was in two containers and one container's food was ice cold. Obviously yesterdays food straight from the refrigerator. So much for " made fresh everyday". Ha! The owner responded below with saying it all came from the same hot pot. NOT TRUE. The 2nd container was obviously put into the refrigerator by a worker earlier and ( accidentally?!) put into my order. Because it was definitely cold and it was not even all Gumbo it also contained small oxtails, and no rice on the bottom. It was somebody's leftovers. We threw it out!

I'm sorry but it's not worth it. And as you see from the reviews they don't care. Most of the time they don't have half the food on the menu. They never have ice. Employees take the phone off the hook. Serving old rice, spoiled macaroni and cheese and the chitterlings are noticeably uncleaned. Anyone who doesn't believe me order everything I just said so you can see for yourself.

Twice we have had to wait a LONG time for our to go phone order when we arrived at the time they said food would be ready. First time we waited over an hour! The second time 30 minutes. Chicken strips were NOT strips - they had bones. Too bad. Won’t be coming back. Menu has lots of grammatical errors - that should’ve been the tip off. No one even apologized - they never acted sorry at all. Smh. Terrible customer service. And the chitlins were undercooked 🤮

My 1st time ordering from here....I WILL NEVER DO IT AGAIN. Their service is very very slow. I order one thing and received something totally different. When I called to let them know about my order, I was told that some of their sides weren't ready. But I didn't receive any phone call about replace my sides. Don't waste your money on this place.
