Pink Cricket Restaurant

This is a classic mom and pop restaurant-bar, and has been part of the community a long time. Personally I like their pizza the most, but I have never had anything I didn't like there. The look and atmosphere is old-school, busy (but not too busy), and a great place to gather with family and friends.

I've always loved coming to the cricket for take out. However this past experience was not welcoming. I ordered a large pep/mush/x-cheese. It was okay but somehow didn't seem the same. I also ordered a grilled chicken salad. It was a complete disappointment. There was barely enough lettuce to make 1 layer in the bottom of the container, some cheese, 4 small chunks of tomato, 2 large rows one each side of the container of canned mushrooms and 5 small slices of grilled chicken. Not even similar in any fashion to images I saw or any grilled chicken salad I've ever gotten anywhere. That was I believe $8 or more. I spent spent $32 on the order and left a $5 tip. They quoted me a total on the phone but then when paying she said she didn't add it up right. Which I have no problem with for quality and quantity food. It was very disappointing. I've never encountered anything like this before from there, but if this is the new way, I won't be buying anymore. 😐

It's been over a decade since I was in Lancaster to do anything like shopping or what have you, but one thing ALWAYS is on my mind whenever I knew I'd be in the area. Stop at Pink Cricket to eat! The food and service has always been top-notch, and stopping there a week ago proved to be another feather in Pink Cricket's hat. I ordered the Pork Chops dinner and I swear they are the most tender and delicious chops that remind me of eating at my grandma's many years ago! I LOVE this place and I tell everyone that heads to that area about it.
