Review The Potting Shed - Langley

What a fantastic place to eat. We came for dinner with friends and a little one. The venue itself was modern, rustic, cool, smart, quirky, huge, split into a bar area with TV and restaurant with open plan kitchen and pizza oven. It was just everything all rolled into one. Superb, hands-on, knowledgeable service of a clean, tasty and all local ingredients menu. Prices were reasonable and menu eat pitched just right to cover every possible requirement with the expert waiters able to advise and amend as needed. Family friendly but nooks for cozy, large tables for groups - and TV tucked away area for the pub feel. We will definitely be back to this gem.

The food is great, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable, but I hate the fact that there is no door on the bathroom, and the floor is just screed with a couple of rugs. As for the fake fur everywhere, I felt like I had stepped into a 1960s prehistoric movie.

Love a trip to the potting shed on a sunny weekend. It’s a lovely location and you can sit out in the garden. I think the food quality is much better than most of the other pub chains that you’d come by and it’s really competitive on price. It’s not fancy or adventurous but it does the job of good pub grub perfectly. The staff were also very helpful on our most recent visit and it’s dog friendly.

We visited here with a mutual friend on his recommendation. He wasn’t wrong. Very nice set up with spacious garden. We had a couple of pizzas and bread with olives. All very good. The service was prompt, courteous and helpful. Thanks to Nicola, Bethan and Jack. I will definitely return.😀👍

Stayed here for work. What a treat! Quirky rooms in the 'Lodges'. So well done and very spacious. Would have loved to stay longer. Whole place had lots of character and well worth visiting. Food also very good. We had to miss breakfast unfortunately as not served until 8 a.m which was disappointing as I imagine it would be very good.

We loved our stay at the Potting Shed. We were here only for the night as we were attending a wedding 20mins drive away. The place was easy to find. Check in was smooth, we were able to get into our rooms early which was nice, gave us time to prepare. The next morning, we ate breakfast in the restaurant which was nice and airy, we ate outside. The service by Michaela and Andreea were excellent. They were so friendly and always had a smile on their faces. They always came up to ask if everything was good. There is plenty of parking and even an EV charging spot. Our overall stay in the Potting Shed was great. We would definitely stay again, given the chance.

Lovely place to eat 😋 We went on a Saturday afternoon and it was very busy but with a relaxed atmosphere. We sat on the terrace and mostly ordered pizza as the other meals were more expensive. Pizzas were amazing, and everyone enjoyed the puddings. Good selection of beverages, pleasant decor. Especially liked the doggy meal option for our pooch. Great service. 👍

Not one for reviews, but just stayed as a wedding party in all the rooms for 2 nights and we were all very impressed and had a fantastic restful stay. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the rooms were nice and replenished with refreshments whenever asked and the breakfast that is included was superb. Didn’t eat in the restaurant for dinner so can’t review the food, but on arrival the car park was over flowing so a good sign, but checking in between 6-8pm meant it was hard to find parking, but not the venues fault For being popular as there is a fair amount of space. In all recommend and would love to stay again.

Just had the most excellent breakfast here this morning. Great food and the most amazing Customer Service from Michaela and Andreea. We will be coming back. Oh yes.

This was my third time going to the potting shed. It is a really safe option to choose for vegans who are dining with omnivores. I had the vegan Sunday roast dinner, which was really good. I usually have the banana blossom fish and chips alternative. The starters were a bread basket with olive oil and balsamic vinegar, which is plenty for two people. Alongside this, we had a small portion of the banana blossom battered fish substitute. We were too full for desserts really, but my partner chose the vegan cheesecake, which I had a little bit of! It was really good. and it was a bit of a shock when we got the bill as it was £175 between four of us! That was for four starters, four mains, one dessert and one coffee, and maybe a Guinness! However, I will visit again. It is a light and airy restaurant with seating outside, as well as little private dining shacks that you can hire. The members of staff are very friendly and helpful. Recommended!

I am giving 5 stars to the rooms because I do not want to impact the overall score but, I only had a meal there. The menu has a good variety of options with Vegan alternatives. The pizzas are awesome, and the service was friendly.

The food is excellent and the staff are friendly but efficient. The menu caters for a wide range of tastes and the portions won't leave you wishing you had ordered more. All in all a great place to eat and relax.

Great service, nice atmosphere and loads of seating inside and out. We supported the Elite Pubs group throughout the lockdowns, so it's great to see them thriving since. They use local ingredients in all their food and stock local drinks as much as possible, which is a nice break from normality. There's lots of parking too.

Fabulous meal, loved the private shack with own heating and Bluetooth sound system. Great service from the staff. Awesome menu including plenty of vegan options. One of the highlights of our stay in Kent!

Terrible - when my Nan gave feedback on the food to the waitress she was extremely rude and argued. The staff cleared our staters before we had finished eating and constantly leaning over us whilst we were having conversations. This “rustic” style of food is very bland and I recommend staying in than paying for this overpriced food. Strongly advise training your staff and having uniforms as it has a very unprofessional feel.

I had heard mixed reviews about various things to do with The Potting Shed so was a bit apprehensive but i didn't need to be,paid them a visit during the bad weather and was impressed with everything from the friendly staff to the food. We were first sat by a window which was a bit draughty so we asked if we could be moved, the waiter was so helpful and didn't mind at all. The food was excellent and to be honest for what it is i don't think its over priced. It was busy when we visited but we didn't have to wait long for our food or drinks. The staff we came into contact with were friendly and very helpful. I would throughly recommended a visit.

Service was fantastic, found us a table for 5 for a roast late on a Sunday afternoon 2:30 table was good for 4pm after ringing 10 restaurants for a table. Service was fantastic, food was amazing, portion size were great size. The setting is very upper class but never looked down upon. Fantastic again, highly recommend

Was very impressed with evening spent at this place. I have a food alogey and the Chief made an suggestion of cooking the fish in pan instead of covered in batter. And swopped horrible mushy peas for cheery Tom's Lovely place Great Real ale really sealed the evening.

Very disappointing. What should have been a nice afternoon in the sun was spoilt by burnt pizza and falafel aswell as paying an extortionate price for them. Also had the smell of about 3 bins being emptied on a friday afternoon and all we got was a sorry ! Not good enough

Went for lunch today, second sitting, party of twelve with six children. The food was incredible, especially at the prices they charge. My Bloody Mary was the best I have had in years... Even better was that the staff were fantastic with the children. Friends from London left happy vowing to return soon. I cannot rate this place highly enough. The team at the Potting Shed are doing awesome things! Thank you

Had a lovely afternoon tea for 15 food lovely. Biggest problem was parking sat in car park for 30 mins waiting for a space. Some of the party had to park miles down the road and walk. Car park needs to be 're designed entrance and exit in one lane and people going wrong way round the car park. Apart from parking issues was a lovely afternoon enjoyed by us all and would recommend.

had a very disappointing meal. our mains came out 30 mins after ordering and before our starter had even arrived. the starter was of course taken off the bill, but having waited 30 minutes for our meal the pizza was stone cold. would of asked for another but was worried it would take just as long, and it wasn't just us. Table near by was still waiting on main and 1 and a hour after they had sat down.

We came yesterday for lunch after seeing father Xmas . We hadn’t booked but the staff looked after us and seated us in the bar area. Ollie really looked after us , even moving another table onto ours to give us and the children more room. First visit for hubby and he loved it! Thank you 😊 and merry Christmas to you all xxx

Although advertised on the website as "vegan menu available" which we were sceptical about....said menu is fabulous and we were spoilt for choice. Absolutely delicious food thank you

I'm quite pedantic about food but this didn't disappoint. Fantastic staff and very accommodating to children. The bread was amazing.
