The best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. The batter was very tasty too. We’ve been to Largs for runs ever since our kids were wee. I wish this place had been around forever, but still, it’s been so worth the wait. Once this place is discovered more, people won’t only be coming to Largs for the ice cream. Heavily recommended.

My husband and I decided to go a run to Largs for a fish supper on Saturday and while out walking about came across this place. So glad we did x I can honestly say that the fish suppers were the best we had ever had. The whole meal was cooked fresh to order with crispy batter . So tasty well done we will definitely be back.

Sat 2nd of September 2017 our church trip came to Largs... there was about 80 of us all in. We had already prebooked an order of fish suppers, sausage suppers..etc and even a gluten free order. We cannot thank the staff at The fish works enough! So helpful, delightful manner, nothing a bother. There was no glitches everyone was well fed and raved about the food! All in all a great success and a fab day in Largs! Would highly recommend! Great job guys! Every success in you business! X

Been told about The Fish Works by a friend that is from Largs, looked very busy when we came on Sunday afternoon but was served quite quickly, The menu had a great selection of stuff I think that everyone will find something for themselves. We had 2 single fish ,kids fish scampi and fish supper came out about £45, so can be pricey for some, the only downside for me was that my cod was just a bit over, but overall the food was tasty, kids and wife enjoyed it.

I popped in here on a blustery autumn day on a Sunday late afternoon. The service was quick and speedy at a counter. They have a few places to sit mostly outside though with a few inside. The decor is very nice. The menu is what you would want from a traditional fish bar. Prices are reasonable on current comparisons as the quality of the food is excellent. Total bill for the food and two bottles of water was £24. The portions were good enough for a dinner. I would recommend this place.

Definitely BEST chip shop in town-- we tried their chicken, halibut, and even the haggis fritter-- all excellent flavors, not greasy, nicely seasoned. Chips are the way they should be. Plan for a short wait as everything is made fresh, to order. A great takeaway. No place to sit inside, small number of tables on the patio-- fine depending on the weather.

If you're looking for the perfect spot to grab some delicious fish and chips in Largs, Scotland, look no further than The Fish Works! Located near the ferry line, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the ferry arriving and leaving while enjoying your meal. The quality of the food at The Fish Works is top-notch. The fish is smoothly battered and fresh, and the chips are perfectly fried. It's hard to find anything to complain about when the food is this good! But what really sets The Fish Works apart is the fantastic service provided by Ozkan, His charming personality and brilliant sense of hospitality make for an unforgettable experience Even though the prices are a bit high, the quality of the food and service, not to mention the charm of Ozkan, make it all worth it. So next time you're in Largs, be sure to stop by The Fish Works for a truly unforgettable dining experience. You won't regret it!

Lovely haddock and chips, would have preferred cod, it was top of their menu but we were told they don't do cod, hence the 4 stars. Nice view of the sea with outdoor seating on the promanade

Beautiful summers evening and I really fancied a chippy so we drove into Largs. I absolutely love The Fish Works! The staff are always lovely and the food is always delicious! I had the prawns and John had the cod - great portion sizes and lots of flavour! I also got the Louisiana sauce - absolutely delicious and a good kick to it! If you ever fancy a chippy, I'd always recommend The Fish Works at Largs!

I’ve been here twice and both times have been absolutely excellent. The fish is fresh and delicious and the staff are always efficient and friendly - it seems like a good team. It’s in a prime location on the Largs seafront and you can sit on a bench nearby to eat. The only downside is that the seagulls are huge and always intimidating, but that’s not a reflection on the Fish Works at all!

We were there on what must have been one of the busiest days of the year. The fish and chips were good but not as good as previously. Probably because of the huge throughput. It's a great place to sit and watch the ferry going in and out, as long as you can avoid the ravenous gulls. If you go down the wall a bit towards the sea, ironically it gets much quieter with less seagull action!

Met up with friends for a meal before sunset cruise on paddle steamer Waverley (no sunset due to the rain!). Saw vegan 'fish' and chips on the menu, and thought I'd try it. Not disappointed - it was delicious!! Two pieces of battered 'fish' and a load of lovely chips. Everyone else enjoyed their meals too. Will be a more regular visitor from now on.

One of the best fish suppers you can get. Highly recommend. Right on the beach front, next to the car park. There are some table and chairs and of course the normal beach front benches. Batter was superb, super crunchy, not the slightest hint of grease. Chips and fish were fresh. Menu quite extensive including crab, squid and languostine. The curry sauce is nether chip shop or Chinese. It was called Irish 🤷‍♀️ and had a slightly sweet flavour. It was different to our local, but still really tasty with just a nice level of spice. We will definitely be going back even though they are a bit expensive, the food is worth it.

Such a great fish and chips, not oily at all!! We had haddock and prawns and they were cooked to perfection. Chips were also very nice, big portions altogether and friendly staff. Reasonable prices as well. We had a lovely evening throwing rocks in the sea, lots of dead jellyfish on the beach, my kids were entertained! Ah! We also had ice cream and done a little walk on the promenade. Fabulous evening, relaxed and magic!
