We were in for lunch, in a party of three, fish and chips were excellent also the fish was very fresh unlike a few that we have had recently, all good wishes to the friendly staff for a lovely afternoon. Would really recommend the bosun's table to all looking for a nice meal.

During a late Summer outing on historic Routemaster 2121, owned by Brian Turner of Bridge if Weir and driven by Routemaster enthusiast and Inverclyde resident Jim McNeal, we called into the Bosun's Table for a light lunch. The staff were very pleasant and efficient at taking the order and delivering hot food quickly. We sat in the sunny courtyard and enjoyed the company of friends who had come from Reading on a round Scotland road trip. We travelled through North Ayrshire returning by the country roads of Renfrewshire and Inverclyde back to Greenock.

ive always loved this place but they seemed to be under staffed on my last visit, the poor ladies were rushed off their feet. foods good, cosy wee dining room.

Nice, simple food, reasonably priced and served by very pleasant staff in pleasant surroundings. It's the ideal place to finish off a brisk walk out of the bustle of Large.

Service was slow, but the staff were run off their feet, so certainly wasn't their fault! Excellent food and always a lovely atmosphere.

Not been to Bosun's for a while but popped in on the off-chance that we could get a table & we managed to get one straight away. The menu has reduced a bit since we were last there but the quality certainly hasn't and both of us thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. The waiting staff are attentive & friendly & the service was quick. I'll not leave it as long til our next visit

Food was great! Would of been 5 stars for the fish goujons alone! But no cutlery for the salad and goujons should always come with tartare sauce 😋

Stopped here for coffee and cake with my Mrs. Staff lovely and polite. Coffee was good and cake even better. The next table had late lunch looked fabulous ( fish and chips). Prices good too.

Coffee was good, food always ok. Funny when a miserable couple nest to me ordered wholemeal toast and they could hear the chefs reaction in the kitchen "last of the big spenders". Serves them right for being miserable to the waitress

I visited Bosun's Table for the first time today.
Nice little spot with sunny outdoor seating on a fine day or nice indoor seating in cutely decorated area or nice conservatory area.
Good Coffee and genuinely nice staff.
Easy parking at the Largs Marina . Will visit again for food.

Quick food, the lentil soup was delicious.
The roll was nice.
The cheese salad box was really lacking on the salad part for my tastes. The slice of bread that comes with it was okay.
The iced coffee was fine. And the staff were friendly and were quick to prepare the meal :)

After phoning ahead to book for todays Father's Day brunch to ensure 11am was a suitable time to dine off the normal breakfast menu we were sadly met with a totally different attitude from our waitress. Before I was even able to take my seat I was informed abruptly that we "must order before 11:30am or we couldn't eat". Not exactly the welcome we were hoping for but as this had already been agreed with the gentleman who took our booking we were happy that as it was only 11:10am our order would be placed in plenty of time. We were sat by 11.20am ready and waiting for someone to take our order (we hadn't even been asked what we'd like to drink yet in this apart hurry) when 2 waiting staff informed us that we now could not dine with you and would have to return at 12:30pm for sandwiches. I informed the waitress that it was only 11:20am (so still plenty of time as she had already stated) and we were waiting for her come back and she very rudly told us that the answer was simply no, there was a back log in the kitchen and we had missed our chance.
Since 3 of the party have worked in hospitality and 1 of which studying in the area we're pretty confident that firstly, the chef doesn't decide when and what customers can eat, management does and secondly, you don't let regular customer walk out the door to spend money in a different restaurant right next door. Back log in any orders are not our problem.
After the manager came to inform us that we now could stay and eat off the pre-agreed menu we decided we'd rather give our business to another establishment - something we'll continue to do in the future.
Extremely poor communication and even worse attitude from the waiting staff on what was suppose to be an enjoyable Father's Day brunch.

Just had what has got to be the best cooked breakfast ever. 10/10. Food was perfectly cooked and not greasy. All ingredients are sourced locally. Presentation spot on and the staff were great. What else can I say other than go and eat food the way it is supposed to be cooked.

A wee gem of a restaurant. The food was superb and good selection of beers. The staff were friendly and helpful. So I would strongly recommend it.

Arrived for lunch with my husband and was shown a table which just became available. So far we have never had any problems but it can be a bit slow on serving. Just not enough staff. We have their Senior Sailors menu. Husband always has the fish as it's fresh.

My hubby and I went for a walk and lunch there. Food was good I had macaroni which I enjoyed, hubby had soup & sanwich, soup was excellent. Staff were ok but not particularly friendly left us a dessert menu then never came back to see if we wanted anything not great. Not the best but would come back...
