Excellent coffee! Woehoeee! And a real good piece of pie! It is also a real nice art gallery with a lot of very special pieces. Paintings are diverse and very colorful. Very friendly personnel. Love it. Extra stop ad they were recommended on Googlemaps. Love it!

Light lunches - prepared fresh to order. Food of a good quality. Great selection of homemade cakes. Staff friendly and helpful. Environment clean and inviting. Lovely gallery of local art and artefacts.

Cafe lovely, staff attentive , on arrival there wasn't any menu's on tables. Just had a cake which was good but only found them when asked ,would rather have had something savory. Did point this out to staff and they apologised.

Stopped in past while passing through. I had a steak and ale pie, was out of this world good! They had a great assortment of cakes etc. Staff were lovely and friendly.

We have stopped here on numerous occasions when travelling to Scotland. A cosy cafe with good food at a good price. Staff are lovely

Quick stop of for coffee and cake whilst travelling north. Both very good. Lovely interior with artists pictures and art for sale. Small shop for household ornaments etc. Staff were excellent.

The food was amazing and the customer service was very good and friendly! Amenities are good and clean. Good spacious and wheelchair accessible. I would recommend it very highly 👌

Came across this excellent coffee shop and gallery and was delighted with the first class food and friendly service. Like the food, the art works and goods for sale were top quality and just that bit different. A definite stop off point on our next trip through the borders.

Lovely little coffee shop. Very welcoming inside with friendly service. The Jarvis Pickle pies were excellent, as were the cakes. Good coffee too. I didn't venture into the gift shop/gallery areas, but they seemed to be popular. Definitely worth a visit if you're in town!

We went to the Gallery and Cafe again yesterday. Just caught them at the end of the day and we were welcomed by the owner with open arms. This is a Gallery and Cafe that we have visited on many visits through Lauder. Definitely worth a visit with the wonderful gifts and delicious (very delicious!) cakes. I haven't made it out of the shop without purchasing one, or many, gifts and items for myself and friends. Definitely worth the trip on the high road to or from Scotland! Thank you!!!

Lovely cafe with very hospitable staff. They do a lovely kids 'deconstructed' sandwich platter which was absolutely perfect for our 4 yr old. We will use this as a stopping off point in future - absolutely brilliant!

On a day when I was feeling down about not being able to eat pretty much anything baked they had a gluten free, dairy free cake that tasted like actual cake! Lovely owner/ staff and great gifts too.

I was at your place the first time in 1999, after that in 2000 & 2004. So, I think it's time to come back? Nice place for good coffee & more! And of course the inspiring art.

I love this cafe, we always get such a friendly welcome. The cakes are delicious and the shop is a great place for gift shopping/ inspiration !

Holidaying in area and by chance , pursuing " what's on " got tickets for a Texan music evening being hosted . The reception and hospitality we received from the owners / organiser were fantastic . It is a small village but felt we entered as strangers , left as "friends" with memories of a special evening . Hope to revisit to sample the menu .

Not been for a while enjoyed exhibition at the moment good coffee. Only downside 9.65 for two ordinary coffees & two bits of tray bake won't be doing that again! (MrsW)
