Cataract On Paterson

Great atmosphere, food and service! Ordered the seafood platter and surf n turf and could barely finish it there was so much food, all delicious. Got to cook my scotch fillet, prawns and scallops exactly how I wanted them on the stone grill which was fun, and they were all mouth-watering! Our waiter Amy was very attentive and friendly! Overall, a great experience! Highly recommend!

The gimmick for this place is sending your meat out on a 400 degree paver and cooking it yourself while you eat it. And it's amazing. I had the paddock to stone (beef, lamb and chicken) and it was amazing. All the meat was tender and juicy. Only complaint (that was entirely my own fault) was that I left some chicken on the stone a little longer than I should have and it had started to dry out. For dessert I had the Mushroom and my partner had the koala.... wild koalas need to be careful, the cream and sponge flesh was amazing. Service was top notch. We weren't waiting long for anything even though the page was packed an we were surprised to find ourselves leaving only an hour after we had sat down. Do yourselves a favour.

Great service, delicious food, slow cooked lamb shoulder was absolutely perfect. Gnocchi was just as good and the deserts were very difficult to decide on, we went with the Panooki, like nothing I’ve had, will come back tomorrow night to try another desert. Wines where to match. Would eat here regularly if local. Very good service with all waiters. Pleasure.

FOOD 5/5 SERVICE&WAIT TIMES 2/5 Photos below: Steak was the 300g Scotch fillet cooked medium rare. Entree was the octopus and potato skins. Dessert is the panooki. Loses a couple stars due to the service and incredibly long wait time for food (over 70 minutes). We ordered our meals at 6:45pm. Our entree arrived within 20 minutes at 7:05pm. However, we did not receive our mains until 8:20pm which really dampened our experience.
