Jailhouse Grill

Can't fault. Hubby and I have been here twice now and have enjoyed our meals both times. The oysters are mouth watering. We have had duck, pot pie, skewer prawns and steak. All delicious. We loved the salad bar with lots of choices. Everything is reasonably priced and fresh. Just the amount of waiting time and served by friendly staff. The diner style seats are comfy and private and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. 5 Stars!

This restaurant is probably the most famous here. Decided to come over on the spot to try out steak and was way more than expected: _The steak is delicious and value for money, which you’ll probably found in many others. _The oysters were very fresh, yet they’re at a really good price (39/dozen). _The cheese platter was a delicate. The cheese, the walnuts, the apricot jams, all were very fresh and original! _The waitresses were very helpful. My friend didn’t finish her plate, and they offered takeaway box right away before we asked. The only thing is that it’d be better if the waitresses can remember the procedures well. One told me that no surcharge on card, but then paying adds 45 cents to the bill. But the goodness makes up for that. Definitely a highlight and would come again!

Had a good experience here. We decided to have lunch at a restaurant suddenly (Without prior decision) and chose Jailhouse Grill. Although we haven’t booked and the place was pretty busy for a Monday lunch, they sorted us a table. The service was totally friendly and great. The salad buffet had a great selection of veggies, pasta, cheese and etc. which was awesome. Pot Pie was nice and the steak was as expected, soft and delicious, however I like to have potato mash instead of oven-roasted ones. I like to come back to taste the other items on the menu.

We had the garlic prawns as an entree and they were divine. For mains we had the eye fillet steaks and they were cooked to perfection and fantastic quality. We made the most of the salad bar included and thoroughly enjoyed the variety and freshness. Its a shame we had no room for dessert because the options were very tempting.

Beyond expectations! We ordered large rump steak which is full of favours and it was too large for us two to share. You get to enjoy the food from the salad bar if you order a main dish. It is one of the best I have seen, lot of quality options and they taste as good as if they are served from the menu.

I really enjoyed this place. Don't be put off by its quirky appearance. For example, the toilets outwardly appear like a one room cupboard. Open the door and anything but that! My main love was the food. I had ribs and salad bar. The ribs and plum sauce were great. I normally cringe with salad bars. They are mostly poor quality rubbish food. I enjoyed every one of the options I tried (which wad a little of most). They were quality food not cheap versions. Given the quality of all the food, it wasn't cheap but was certainly fair for what I got.
