Lovely little cafe, beautiful chocolates, so many varieties and lovely service. I will definitely remember it for next time.

Loved the coffee and chocolates but I hate having to ask for sugar. Why do so many places get this simple customer service wrong? If you're not going to have sugar on the table, put it on the saucer. If someone doesn't want it, they won't use it.
It's not difficult.

I am a hot chocolate lover. Need a cup every morning. They have the best hot chocolate I’ve ever tried!
Plus, nice staff and cozy environment.

The best hot chocolate and finest chocolates we had in all of Tasmania.

I went in before Christmas to buy some chocolate for a mousse. After struggling to get my pram in through the door (while both people behind the counter stared at me like I had two heads), I was helped in by a customer (thank you, kind stranger!).
After explaining to one worker what I was after, she tried to sell me a product for making hot chocolate (?!) - coming in at ~$22 for 300g. When I asked her where the chocolate was from (it said single origin on the label but not from somewhere I was immediately familiar with), she replied that it comes from the Coal River (southern Tas).
Of course, chocolate isn’t grown in Tasmania and so my question was more in regards to where the chocolate was from, not where it was packaged (because, let’s be frank, who cares where it’s packaged?). She wasn’t able to provide any more information, wasn’t interested in finding out from the other person working there if they knew, so I declined the purchase and was helped out of the store by another customer. (Side note - I’m glad I’m not in a wheelchair otherwise I’d never have made it into the shop at all, especially with the gormless looks from the staff who just had no idea).
I really feel that if you’re asking people to pay close to $75/kg for chocolate, the staff should be aware of the product details (never mind that something designed for hot chocolate is really not what someone making a dessert needs, but oh well).
As someone who has worked in customer service for 15 years I feel perhaps a bit of training for the staff is in order. When a customer walks in with their wallet out to buy a product you sell, it is pretty shambolic to have them leave empty handed. Sad, too, as I would liked to have supported a local business, especially after the tough year that small business’ has had. I also am not the type of person to bother writing a review, but my experience here was so ridiculous I felt compelled.
