We can recommend with out question The Race Horse Inn at North Hill. It is rare to find a pub or resturant with such consistantly great food we like all of our meals. The steak and sea food were excellent, as was the standard of presentation and attention to detail far beyond what you would expect to find in a Cornish Village Inn. We will recommend The Race Horse Inn to all our guests as our new " go to " eating out establishment. Also the owner has kindly offered this free drive you home service to our holiday guests here on The Merryfield Estate in his people carrier. A true gem... Cornish Dragon and The Green Unicorn

We've been there two weeks running, its a lovely relaxing place with a great atmosphere and great food, it's worth the drive up from North Carnmarth it only takes an hour if that. I've got to go again to try thr rest of the menu.

A complete gem! Stunning food every time, elegant menu to suit everyone, great staff and atmosphere. This is where we bring visiting guests to enjoy a special meal, especially as we can guarantee a delightful evening. Drinks are not overpriced and they have a fab choice. Definitely worth a visit.

Wish we had found this pub when holidaying here last year, glad we found it today, it ticks all the boxes, why can’t more pubs be this way!? Wheelchair accessible, dog friendly, excellent food! Great service! Very reasonably priced especially for the quality of the food! We will be returning. ..

We "stumbled" upon this little pocket of elegance by mistake, which just shows that we should always honour and explore life's detours. Wonderful interior, immaculate yet emotive decor , warm and weloming host and cuisine that deserves at least 15 out of 10 ! Its a gastro-boutique-inn . If you are in a hurry , its best to continue on your way...The Racehorse Inn deserves a discerning clientele who will relax and enjoy the moment with excellent wine and company..when the food arrives I can guarantee it will be well worth the wait.

A bit out of the way but a lovely old place. Friendly staff that have a family feel about them. We stopped in for lunch on our way elsewhere but now we know of it we are likely to return. Good food, reasonably priced. Recommended.

The Howards at the Racehorse Inn is a really nice place to stay in, placed in a beautiful area. You can get from there to every single place in Cornwall in no time. The atmosphere in there was brilliant, we felt like home. Staff was amazing, very friendly and the food was delish 🤤 ❤️ we had an amazing time and will definitely come back. Thank you all for an amazing time! PS. It was my birthday and I hot a cake which was superb, I took a pic, but after eating strawberries 🍓😜

Went today for tea (dinner), and booked beforehand, but restaurant was short of staff as someone called in ill. Bar staff was valiantly trying to keep customers supplied and informed about state of kitchen. In the end it was easiest (and kindest) to remove ourselves and return home (to the holiday rental down the road) to cook, but we intend to be back tomorrow and have booked again!

Such an adorable place to stay. Rooms were fantastic. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Reserved dinner for the night we stayed and it was 1 of the best chicken sandwiches and burgers we have ever had. Breakfast was delicious as well. Very pet friendly and my dogs enjoyed the company of the owners dog and had lovely chats with all who worked there. Definitely recommend a stay here!

We didn't stay here but we did have a very nice meal. The food was tasty and even though there was only one person serving behind the bar, and serving food/taking orders our order arrived quickly with no fuss and it was devoured by my hungry wolf pack (children) without complaint! At the time of visiting they didn't have their menu online (always handy for us tourists who don't know what's on offer) but it was a new menu and so maybe that was why. Apart from that I'd heartily recommend. Great service, tasty food and a lovely rural location.

Really friendly atmosphere and sense of community. Even though I was a stranger to the region, Mike the owner made my whole family very welcome and even advised us on places to visit in Cornwall. The service and food was great. All freshly made food from the regional produce.
