Lovely place to eat- I understand it’s been taken over recently. Me and my partner went yesterday as we were in the area and Raj the owner was very welcoming and recommended a great sharing platter which tasted wonderful. We had never seen so much food and were very happy with the price. Worth a visit and always like putting money into local businesses. Best of luck with your venture Raj.
We picked up a takeaway from the Spice Room last weekend while we were on holiday. The staff were very polite and courteous and the food was absolutely gorgeous!! Every dish cooked to perfection with no excess oil or salt. The salmon dish had plenty of salmon - so tasty!! Having travelled many miles from Surrey we would have appreciated a delivery but seems that none of the restaurants in the Launceston location are currently offering this service.
We came on holiday in a cottage hoping to get a delivery to watch the England match but no one would deliver, but the kind man at this restaurant went out of his way to find us which was hard following the sat nav, he didn’t do deliveries but came and brought our curry to us and the curry was one of the best we’ve had!! So thank you so much you made our night, we will be coming again to the cottage and will defiantly be using your service 😊 excellent service
We've started going here following a couple of average to poor experiences at the Sagor next door. The staff, as many have said, are friendly and knowledgeable, and the food is well presented and not too salty. The open space of the restaurant makes it a little less intimate than the Sagor but the dining and service make up for it. Best curry house at the moment in Launceston!
We recently switched from Sagor to Spice Room and have loved both similarly the family agrees Spice Room is the preferred of the two and the one we choose when we have guests over for whatever reason. Having only chosen takeaway whenever we visit it is hard to comment on the dining in experience though from an observational standpoint the tables are well laid and waiter service is frequent tho not to the point of bothering. A possible key point is that whenever we do choose Indian and collect it, it is often empty at table service give or take 1 or 2 tables
One of the best Indian meals I've had in years, better than most even in Exeter (incl. Denley's & Bay Leaf!). Didn't feel too heavy afterwards from too much grease or overcooked stodge. Everything very fresh, delicate exotic fresh-cooked flavours, generous portions we couldn't finish and high quality presentation. Best onion baji I've ever had anywhere! Very helpful staff too. Not a fan of the decor, but you don't care when you realise the astounding quality of what you've just ordered, at very reasonable prices. 9.9 / 10!!
easily the best currys in cornwall, i have never had such a good indian before. great service, very quick waitors and staff are always with a smile, 5 stars without a doubt!
