Two visits here in our short time in the area and both merit 5 stars. The first to the shop - good selection of goods and wonderful fruit. Second visit we took both our beagles (something we rarely do as beagles and food are usually a recipe for mischief!) and all 6 of us LOVED out visit. The food was superb and excellent value for money - special mention must go to the designer of the puddings, never have we seen such an amazing apple strudel presented like this! :) The staff were attentive (to humans and dogs alike - although the humans didn't get free water, biscuits and petting! ), service was quick and cheerful and even the weather played ball to make this a real highlight of our visit to the area. Highly recommend

We had Drumtochty Highland games committee dinner here last night, and can't recommend it enough. The food was amazing, and the staff excellent. If you're looking for somewhere for something like this give them a shout.

Stopped off Friday morning on way to Aberlour with my friend. Had a fantastic full breakfast (half portion would have been enough but my eyes were bigger than my belly! ) lovely eating area. Outside play park to,which would be fab in warmer weather. Also small gift shop.Staff very friends and helpful. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back with family and friends. Gx

Visited quite a few times. This time was treated to the festive afternoon tea. Sandwiches very tasty, a pork cracker to die for, a yummy pulled pork and cranberry pie different but very tasty. Accompanied by light scones Xmas pie all equally fab. But the star of the show was the sherry trifle shot , cldnt eat more of that. All was priced very good and staff were their usual helpful and very polite. Would well recommend .x

We loved this place 🥰🐕 not only are the decorations nice and the winter garden a great place where you want to stay a while, also the food is outstanding, nicely decorated and delicious 🤤 the service is great and we can highly recommend coming here!! Also exploring the shop is worthwhile - we tested a few products and can recommend the berry salad sauce!

Absolutely spot on. Went here for lunch for my parents 60th wedding anniversary. The staff went way over and above the expected norm, giving us top notch service, some flowers for my parents, tastefully decorated puddings, and spending a significant amount of time making sure our lunch was as special as possible. Food was excellent, staff excelled themselves and the location was very pleasant indeed. I can remember this establishment arriving in its most basic form. Despite its challenges with road closures it has kept its head above and is still very much flying it's kite. If you want a great lunch, look no further. And the good news is, you can probably buy most of the ingredients for what you ate in a very well stocked farm shop under the same roof. Just great.

Excellent dining experience. It's a must stop between Aberdeen and Dundee. The place has a lovely vibe. Staff is super friendly, and the service is impeccable. Food is delicious, we ordered sandwiches, macaroni, strawberry tart and some cakes, everything was good. Strawberry tart steals the show. Selection of coffee is also very good. Between May and September, visitors can also experience strawberry picking.

Had a beautiful lunch with 3 friends. All had different dishes the food was delicious. My dish looked fab and the couple on the next table ordered it too. It tasted fantastic. (Beef noodle salad). The tray bakes and cakes are delicious. Lovely coffee. The service was brilliant and would not hesitate to recommend and return for more.

Unplanned stop that led to a great meal and picking up a few items from the shop. Oat milk smoothies are great!

Super experience at the Castleton farm - right from the food, to the service, to the ambiance. The portion sizes were big, the food was fresh and tasty. There's an outdoor play area for kids as well. Plenty of parking and very spacious over all. Would recommend 100% especially if you have kids.

Fantastic place and beautiful setting especially the conservatory dining area. An outdoor play area for kids when they are done dining. Great staff and good service. The Steak Baguette with Chips was phenomenal. I would definitely be back again.

The service was lovely. The food was delicious and the strawberries were the sweetest we’ve ever had. We dined outside in the sunshine, and there was a fantastic playground for the kids, right next to the farm. They have a well deserved reputation!

A regular haunt that can be relied upon for a decent meal. On this occasion we both went with the prawn salad with avocado. It was very tasty and portion size was decent for lunchtime. Service was excellent but generally feel that prices are on the high side compared to similar establishments locally.

A fine place to stop off on the way North , plenty of room with a large playground for the kiddies out the back and a lovely farm shop to wander about. Service was quick and the food was excellent ,I had the Balmoral chicken wrap while the gf had the fish and chips which she couldnt finish as it was so large , both meals were washed down with some iced latte frappe's
