The trains really are a super way to travel around Isle of Man. They were timed to have great connections and ran frequently. Laxey had a lovely wee shop and a handy timetable. There’s a restaurant at the end of the platform but it appeared to be closed for the season. Maybe our timing wasn’t perfect.

Organised chaos here on our return from Snaefell. Although we were the first people waiting for the tram, when it arrived at the stop it was a free for all to get on the tram, the management should have signs out to show the start of the queues.

We received fantastic service today at Laxey and in Douglas when using the Manx Electric train. We have a wheelchair user and the staff could not have been more accommodating. It was an all round excellent experience.

A very picturesque railway station. This is the halfway stop between Douglas and Ramsey. Lots to do at Laxey.

This has to be on your to do list. A ride to the summit on a vintage tram is a must. A running commentary of the history of the ride up to Snaefell.

Was the best day to view the rolling hills right to the top.
