Blue Orchid

We do not live in Ledbury but are regular visitors to the town . Couldn’t wait to return to the blue orchid as we used it regularly when it was the other side of town . Food was absolutely delicious as always, all 6 of us had different dishes and everyone was delighted with what they chose the food was also pipping hot . Lovely friendly owner who checked all was ok with our meal when leaving . Must say though we missed your beautiful blue lidded serving dishes 😀 Can’t wait to return Thankyou for a wonderful meal !

Excellent food and very friendly service. Only improving point would be to change the confusing entrance. No signage on the main door , it's not clear there is a proper entrance to the restaurant. The take away is very busy If you sit near the bar/ desk. The food was beautiful and so fresh and fragrant.

Fantastic food and service. Despite being absolutely rushed off their feet and still getting used to operating again, the team are managing to fulfill hundreds of orders each evening. Yes there have been a few teething problems but that's to be expected on opening weekend! Get a grip you miserable 'downgraders' The food is freshly prepared and cooked to order, so a wait is to be expected for such a good quality takeaway. My lad is really fussy about what he eats and rated everything 10 out of 10. So good to have Mark, Rung and the rest of the team back in town providing their delicious food.

I cannot praise them enough. Their food is absolutely superb, authentic and delicious and that’s coming from a very fussy eater. There may sometimes be a little wait for the food but only to be expected as it’s so popular and all food is freshly prepared and cooked on the premises. If you haven’t tried it I would urge you to do so.

Great fresh tasting food and nice people. Popped in and ordered and was told it would be around 40 minutes so went for a pint in the Shoe. They called to say it was ready after about 25 minutes. Had to go with what basically everyone in Ledbury has (sweet and sour chicken balls and chicken fried rice). The chicken balls were decent and there were plenty for 2 people. Way better than Golden Gate's old greasy offerings and certainly a lot better than Wing On/Ming Hing (but I'd rather eat cat food than go there again). Rice was good and tasted nice and fresh. The rice portions are smaller than in other places and you'd need a rice each if you normally like a belly buster. Chips are chunky. The prawn crackers are Thai crackers which are a bit more fishy than I'm used to. My wife thought they were really good but I wasn't a massive fan. I saw a few negative reviews on Facebook from their first weekend of opening and thought they were harsh. Ledbury hasn't had a decent Chinese takeaway for quite some time now and back when there were 3 or 4 they were always busy on weekends. Unsurprising people had long waits on the first weekend of opening.
