The Allerton

It’s not often that a restaurant host leaves such a lasting impression I had suggested The Allerton as a potential venue for our daughter’s 21st, so my wife and daughter went see what they had to offer. I think it took just a few seconds for them to make up their minds. The room was ideal for at least the thirty we were expecting, nothing was too much trouble for Solos, the menus were flexible and so it was booked. The communication leading up to the party and to confirm menu choices was first class, meaning that on the day we had total confidence that all would be under control, allowing us to relax and enjoy. Which is exactly what we did! Thanks also to the team there who completed the process, the chef’s excellent food, the service was fantastic and of course there was Solos, quietly and efficiently making sure that all he had promised came to fruition. From the ease of parking, great hosting and super food, it was also amazing value; so we have conclude that this is a highly recommendable place, whether is a special occasion or just a meal out. Thoroughly enjoyable meal in a warm friendly atmosphere. This was our first visit as we were tempted by the menu on the website and we were not disappointed. In fact we were kicking ourselves for not eating there before. There is quite a lot to choose from but I chose the hake which was beautifully cooked and tasty and my husband looked happy tucking into a juicy fillet of beef and very moorish chips. Hopefully next time we visit we will have room for a dessert 🍰.

Absolutely perfect family dinning. The host was a perfect gentleman with knowledge and stories of the globe. The food was exquisitely prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant to all. Although they were serving 70+ guests, we felt like the only table in the room. I will be dining there again as it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience.

We visited Charlie Bretts for the first time last week and had a fantastic time. The food was top notch and the prices were very reasonable for such good quality. The ambience was very inviting, and even though it was quiet when we visited the atmosphere was still enjoyable. Our host Sol made the experience into something special - he has obviously been in the hospitality industry for a long time and is a consummate professional. This place really deserves to be packed out every night. We will return.
