I ended up having to wait for friends to arrive for about 45 minutes.!! I thought about leaving but I stayed.. Made use of the free wifi and the vast array of draught Beers 🍻 the time passed very quickly. Comfortable place to sit and wait and smell the fine aromas of excellent food. Highly recommend waiting here!!

Great place, ordered a pint of one of the hand pulled ales & had a nice pulled pork flat bread to go with it, both at decent prices, bar staff & assistants all very helpful, would definitely return.

On a very busy Friday when everyone was having Christmas do, this place gave us a table in the afternoon. The food was good, the drinks were nice, and the atmosphere is vibrant. Never noticed this place before. It is kinda between a pub and a restaurant.

Generally this area of Leeds is a little quieter around lunchtime and as it's not too far from the centre, the Veritas is in ideal place for lunch. The pub has a light and spacious feel with the tables spread over a number of distinct areas. Good selection of ales and a reasonably priced menu; suprising what a short distance from the main eating streets can do to the price. I have eaten in here a couple of times now and food is very good with large servings.

Decent ale and wine bar that also caters for parties, popular at lunchtimes and after work, the ambience has a French café feel. Table service is available and efficient enough, and the food is tasty and well presented. There is also a good selection of guest ales on offer. Recommended for pre event drinks or as a starter location before moving on into town.

Amazing selection of gins and the staff were really knowledgeable about them. We held a meeting in the little back room and the staff couldn't have been more helpful and lovely food too.

Was out for the day with some friends as having travelled from Manchester. I have been in this pub on two previous occasions over the last few years. Was served by a very friendly young woman. My friends and I all had the same beer. Two pints were cloudy. No problems as a new barrel was put on and then two fresh pints were delivered to our table by the barmaid. Excellent service.

Went for a group lunch meal. We provided our orders in advance and food was ready promptly. I had the fish and chips, which was excellent - very generous portions! Good selection of beers at the bar. Nice atmosphere. Easy to see why this place is popular. Recommended.

Always a great selection of beers and ales, a lot of them local too. I'm not a gin drinker, but they seem to have a very impressive collection of that as well! The food is also great, much better than the usual 'pub grub' you might expect. Always quick and friendly service too.

Brilliant Bar with a very good selection of Ales, Wines and Gins. I had a white breakfast stout which is was incredible. I don't normally drink stout but with it being a white stout I thought o would give it a go. The customer service from Miles was fantastic and he went out of his way to help my wife find her phone which she lost. We will definitely be coming back here when we come to Leeds again.

Lovely place. Very nice people who run it. Was in meeting a friend from Australia that I hadn't seen for 3 years. Had my granddaughter with me and as it was quiet she was allowed to play on the floor and we could talk. Will be back as they were so amenable.
