Myself and my partner came today for lunch, First time for both of us. What an enjoyable experience!
Friendly and efficient service, and the food was gorgeous!
I had my reservations against sushi, but thought I would have a go. I tried the surimi with avocado and also the salmon with caviar and the spicy mayo and spicy sauce which was lovely. Nice and fresh. We had about 9 plates between us:)
Will definitely come again and recommend this place to everyone

I really like that place, the most recent I've been it was with the Lolitas of Leeds group. We were taking advantage of an offer that recently ended on 40% off belt food. With that I had the choice of trying more new things and I was happy with all of them. Unfortunately can't remember everything because we were more: "oh i like that" or "that looks yummy" and we just grabbed it off the belt.
But I still got my all time favorite chicken katsu and chocolate mochi. If i found myself on Mondays in the city center and i'm hungry i pop in for a quick bite since they have the blue Mondays offer which is a massive part of their menu is being charged for the price of the blue plates which is £2.40.
The only thing I've tried and not big fan of is the miso soup but that's just me i think because i never had it before and haven't been somewhere else that do it in order to compare. My next plan is to get a friend that likes that type of food and abuse the Super! Sumo! Sundays! offer which is all-you-can-eat off the belt for £19.50.
The staff is always friendly, the atmosphere is very lively and I love the open kitchen. If you going without reservation and you are quite a few people be careful the time you go especially on an offer day. It can be quite busy.

Oh my flippin' manga daydream. Right. I'm not a sushi fan, traditionally. I've really tried. I've masticated many a salmon skin roll, and seriously tried to enjoy the odd texture, seaside flavour and salty taste. But I've always failed- there was just something about the seaweed and moist pink pulpous flesh that I couldn't abide.
Apparently, until now. After a meet up with a new friend I realised it was almost criminally past lunch time and I'd not yet eaten a thing. He was headed out to Yo! Sushi and so invited me along - my first sentence being, "Mmmkay, do they do things NOT sushi?!" Well, that they do.
So we arrived and we greeted and seated really nicely, wandering around a full half of the venue, which is possibly the most exciting place I've ever been. Maybe that's an exaggeration. I don't know. I was giddy as a school kid on their first ever sugar rush from snorting sherbert twizzlers. (Or similar.)
The conveyor belts of delightful little dishes! On a constant rotation before you! The fibre optic poles! The televisions with Japanese Russian-doll like characters! The little personal water taps! The mini dishes for soy and wasabi! The tiny tiny pepper pots! Literally, I was high on life. Everything needed looking into. It was way too exciting.
So, once our other dining companion came to join us, we began taking our treats off the ever-kinetic shelf. We started with those green beans that you pop out between your teeth and a really light sushi dish. Being so ignorant, I'll explain what it looked like. Black something holding together rice with a mini bit of prawn/tuna/salmon inside. Anyway, I loved it. Yes it was a little fishy, yes it was a little seaweedy, but with some soy and wasabi I was happy as Larry. Who ever he is, anyway.
I didn't try the caviar dappled one, which was practically luminous, but I did enjoy a few other lightly fish-ed bits. I also had some mini duck pancake affair, a dish of their Yakisoba (which was nice, but not nearly as tasty as Fuji Hiro) and some kind of Japanese pancake situation to finish.
Everything was amazing. The staff, the setting, the seats. Oh the excitement! My green tea was refilled 3 times, all for free, as was my companions' miso soup. And with dishes for as little as a couple of quid, with three or four depending on which you choose coming in at around the ten-fifteen pound mark, it's well worth it on a lunchtime. The three of us had over 12 bowls and paid about fifteen quid each.
Bargain. I simply love it!
We love eating here especially on a Sunday when they do all you can eat for £20 a head. The dishes available are just as fantastic as on week days.We would have spent £165 if we hadn't gone for that option as they still tot up all the plates as normal.There were 4 of us and we went in very hungry!! I must admit to feeling slightly embarrassed by the mountains of coloured plates on our table but not enough to stop eating.
This branch is always busy, the selection is excellent even for vegetarians. I have eaten there more than 6 times over the last 4 years and never been disappointed.i love it.....

If you were rating this place on the quality of food alone, it wouldn't score this highly, but visiting Yo! Sushi is more than just eating, it's experience.
Everything is so cute. From the little dishes for your soy and wasabi, to the cute little dishes trundling along the conveyor belt, to the little pencils and colouring sheet they bought out for my daughter.
And sushi is just the perfect choice for me. I much prefer to have a little bit of lots of different dishes rather than one big plate of one thing. I love to try new things and I'm determined that one day I'll be able to tick off everything on the menu at Yo! and say yep! I've tried the lot! And I must say I had a pretty good stab at ticking a lot of dishes off on Sunday....
I most recently visited Yo! during their 'Sumo Sundays' promotion - all you can eat from the belt for £19.50. And boy did I make my money count! I never find sushi particularly filling, but man I was waddling down the escalators out of Harvey Nicks feeling glad of my stretchy pants!!
It was very busy, there was a queue in front of me & 6 year old Mini MacDoo number 1 when we arrived, but it didn't take long for us to get seated at the belt.
My daughter wasn't hungry and isn't adventurous enough to try any of the dishes (much to her foodie mum's disappointment!) so I was a bit worried about her getting bored, but the waiter who served us brought her a a little packet of pencil crayons and a colouring and activity sheet to keep her occupied, which included a fab game where you have to spot six different dishes going round on the belt - I got as excited as she did when we ticked the last couple off!
So, daughter happily occupied, I began my assault on the belt. I scoffed hairy prawns, salmon skin iso, tuna nigiri, chicken gyoza, crunchy prawn iso, tempura prawns, chicken tsukune, Yo! Rolls and the totally amazing spicy pepper squid. And more. Yes, I'm a greedy pig, but hey, gotta get your money's worth in an 'all you can eat' promotion. In fact I take it as a personal challenge!
I'm determined to take Mr MacDoo to Yo! at some point too. He's one of these folk who think they won't like sushi because they're put off by the thought of raw fish. Or even fish! But I know he'll love the yaki soba and the chicken katsu and the tsukune balls and the gyoza. Even if you're not a fish lover there's still loads to choose from so don't let it put you off.
So in short? Yummy food and a fantastic fun experience. I can't wait to go again!

Stop press!! Have just found out that Leeds is getting a new Yo! Sushi in the new city centre shopping centre Trinity Leeds later this year! Yussss! Bagsy being the first to Yelp about it!!
After the monstrous trek through Harvey Nic's I finally arrived to Yo Sushi,a place I had visited only once before....extremely hung over and taking as many wooden spoons and chop sticks as possible. This time I was sober thankfully.
Excellent hospitality can the front desk(reception). Seating wasn't an issue. The waiting staff are enthusiastic especially when someone wasn't been before. I did get lost in colours and prices at one point but the waitress made it clear anything I needed or any questions ring the bells! And what great fun it is too. Any dishes that are not out can be ordered and the chefs bang your dish out at an amazing rate. So after my minor issue of motion sickness being sat next to the "conveyor" belt,it nice a great time and I'd say not 1 but 2 double thumbs up (y) (y)
Yo! Sushi is fun and exciting and a bit scary too if it's your first time. It's like being in the Jetsons.

I never expected to find a sushi bar in Harvey Nicols, but Yo! Sushi has been a very very pleasant surprise. Now I'm not the sort of person who goes to sushi bars regularly, so at first the variety and range of all the supremely delicious morsels was a bit overwhelming... I do recommend coming with a friend who knows his/her way around the menu.
The decor is very space-age Japanese, with bold colours, LEDs, J-pop, the sushi conveyor belt, and, of course, the obligatory kitchen in the middle. My friends and I only ate dishes off the conveyor belt, and let me tell you, the bowls kept piling up fast!
Lest you think I'm gushing , here are a few downsides: the open kitchen means it does get rather toasty, they charge £1.05 for fizzy water (although refils are unlimited, and for miso soup and green tea s well!), and, if you're a meat eater, the cheapest dishes are almost exclusively veggie.
They do have a number of set menus if you're overwhelmed by the a la carte (or the a la conveyor), and the staff are nice and chatty. They also do various vouchers and deals, so unless you're swimming in ££, I'd keep an eye out for those.
All in all, a very fun (and, thanks to a 40 % off voucher, cheap!) evening out!

I am familiar with the YoSushi brand but had not tried this one, on the top floor of Harvey Nics before. I was with a friend who had never been to one before. I found the staff very attentive and pleasant and the food as usual, cooked to perfection. I ate from both the belt and by order and service was efficient and quick. Yes it is a bit expensive, yes it is a trek to the top floor, but it's worth it. A definite fav and I will be back.
This is great Sushi place based on the top floor at Harvey Nichols, the food comes round on the conveyor belts and is prepared in front of you so its all fresh. You simply pick your dish off the conveyor belt (all dishes are colour coded by price) and eat as much as you want, you can try all sorts of different types of sushi here. Great place and a really different/fun way of eating out.
Best service ever! Nicest staff, kind and considerate. The food was fresh and nice, portions are never generous but nothing unheard of. Would recommend for a good sushi fix!
Really enjoyed dinner here. The young man who was our waiter had a great sense of humour. Lovely young man. The food was lovely. We didn't have to wait very long and it was so nice. The only downfall is it is expensive for what it is.
Visited the all-time favourite Yo! But this time in Leeds. Like always the sushi was amazing - we got the crunchy cali roll and the dynamite salmon gunkan.
Both of them tasted very fresh! Will be visiting again 👍🏻
I liked the experience and teste. Personel was very helpful. The only point that can be improved is the size of the portions. It seemed to me small.

Eat at a table or around the conveyer belt thing where you can see the chefs prep all the food right in front of you from fresh, plate it up and either pass to you or send around the conveyer belt! You select food from the menu or select what you see going around the belt! And there is an array of choices!!
How much? Well abut like fazandes the price is colour coded ie if you haven’t gone for the menu option and you selected the plate off the conveyer belt then the colour of the plate is the price you pay. Doesn’t matter what’s in the plate. The only thing you watch for is the colour of the plate and I think there was like orange, yellow, purple and other colours. The purple were slightly more pricey. However the range of food and dessert is not disappointing!!
Love love the katsu chicken curry with rice, the sushi rolls which included teriyaki chicken rolls if your not a massive fish lover!
And I can quickly amassed a set of plates on the side as well as katsu curry. The desserts were small but very filling and rich and do not disappoint! Dessert heaven!!!
Great to eat alone and with friends. Only one off putting experience is one of the female staff members stare at you whilst you eat. (Hence the 4 star) Yes not an expertise in chop sticks and yes can eat treble My body weight in food despite being small but shopping is hardwork so burnt enough energy before and after as well. It’s nice to see and appreciate customers enjoying your food but to stare them out may cos of how much eaten / bad handling chop sticks it’s not so much nice. Not a pro but we try. Other than that off putting part I’ve enjoyed it here! Brilliant and rest of the staff helpful and friendly.

We were sat at the end booth, and opposite us was a waiting area for delivery drivers. Quiet uncomfortable eating infront of people staring at you. The next booth over saw the waiting staff sat there having a chat.
The food was brilliant. Overall good experience but a little cold as an atmosphere.

Food and staff were incredible, overall excellent dining experience. Great spot to eat after shopping, definitely worth taking advantage of the unlimited green tea & miso soup offer.
