Really lovely roast, we had beef and all of the sides. Lovely bottle of red too. Although on the pricier side of roasts in Leeds (they average around £17) I think it was worth it for quality and portion sizes. Amy served us and she was friendly and attentive. Would recommend to popping in for a roast and we are likely to be back.

Celebrated my friends baby shower in the conservatory and it was beautiful!
The food was amazing and the staff very helpful!

This place really hits the fusion between a high quality establishment and a classic British pub. The food was very exquisite and has something to offer everybody. The servers were friendly and went the extra mile to make my partners Mother’s birthday one to remember. The food is delicious and really makes you savour every bite. All this coupled with more than fair prices makes it the perfect place to host a wide variety of events or just simply having one drink. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a new experience and fresh perspective on fine dining.

Came in for a meal and some cocktails! What an absolute splendid evening! Sav was so fantastic, she’s always smiling and so welcoming. What an asset the business! The guy with curly brown hair on the bar was a delight, he even told us he was new…. You wouldn’t know! can’t wait to be back deer park!

Fab food every single time. Great staff and never feel like anything is any trouble.

Very nice experience, no issues with the food or customer service
Meals were tasty and well made. Only problem the cocktails were a huge fail.
Molly was out server and did a very good job with our group party event. Such a friendly young lady.

Very nice , only thing was when we ordered drinks I asked for a pink gin , when I got the drink , he could see I looked at the drink confused, he said I've give you a raspberry gin because there's no pink gin. The service he gave was very polite , but it would of been nice for him to say there's no pink gin an ask me what I,d like instead, instead of him deciding for me .

Lovely time had on a quiet and wet Monday evening. We went for mains + desserts with coffee. The food once more was delicious (seabass and fishcakes, cheesecake and brownie) and the service super attentive and friendly. Amy waited on us and she was just delightful and caring, making sure our food was just right and we didn't lack anything at all. No rushing us to finish and leave as it happens in other restaurants.
I truly recommend the Deer Park to those with a preference for fish dishes and quality food in a cosy and elegant restaurant.

The staff are all very welcoming and helpful. The food is always really good and it has quickly become our regular. I would highly recommend a visit and it might quickly become a favourite!

I celebrated my 40th birthday on Saturday afternoon at the Deer Park. We sat in the conservatory a group of 20 of us. Molly and Jane were brilliant the service they provided was very attentive. They made every welcome with a welcome drink and constantly looked after us throughout. The food was excellent I had the fillet steak and all guests were complimenting the food. All in all it was a perfect afternoon.

We went out for a girly lunch to the deer park. The pub was very nice, well decorated, with comfy seating. The atmosphere was lovely and staff very attentive to our needs.
The food was beautiful. We all ordered something different from the menu and everything looked and tasted fantastic.
Will definitely be visiting again.

Really nice place to go for lunch! The breaded brie for starter was delicious! The dirty burger had really nice flavours however the burger patty was slightly burnt. The chicken burger was phenomenal! The biscoff brownie bomb was absolutely delicious, albeit slightly heavy! Definitely recommend this place!

The Deer park is one of my favourite places to go and I choose it to have my birthday celebration with some friends. It was lovely.
The Host was very welcoming and friendly and make a table change for us to suit our need. Drinks great, nice cocktails. Had the sunday roast and it was lovely. Plenty of food and good service. Only slight disappointment was nothing done for birtday celebration, no candle, etc. but waitress was excellent. I will contine to treat this as my regular place to go.

Booked a table for a large group this weekend and the booking process, service and food was all fantastic! Emma and Molly were both great, and everyone was very happy with their food. Will definitely be back!

Disappointing Christmas Dinner and definitely not worth the price tag. My partner ordered Pate to start with, when it arrived it came with three minuscule pieces of bread, he had to give my 18 month old daughter one of the pieces as the children’s menu was not suitable for her and no other alternative was offered for her age group. I asked the waitress for extra bread and said we were willing to pay extra for it, ten minutes later she arrived back at the table and advised us we couldn’t have any (if your finding this as unbelievable as we did, I promise you it’s the truth) so the majority of the pate was left. Main course arrived and it looked like it had been thrown on the plate.. quite literally. Menu said served with “sprouts” I never had one in my vegetables and the other two people in my party had ONE each, there was no consistency to the veg on the plate. I had nothing but butternut squash where as some people had onions and carrots as stated on the menu. Hardly any gravy on the turkey (we didn’t dare ask for anymore after the bread incident) as far as “pigs in blankets” are concerned you got one small one. Beef said it was served with a “jus” however it certainly didn’t make its way to the plate we were served. Pudding was probably the best part, however even that wasn’t faultless as I couldn’t eat the caramel pot as the brownie on top was so hard I couldn’t even get my spoon through it. We declined tea and coffee but never received the handmade chocolates which were on the menu. If we’d not paid the total bill upfront I definitely would not have paid full price for what we received yesterday. If you are thinking of going to give this place a try, I wouldn’t bother. We’d already decided that we would visit for Christmas next year if it was enjoyable, but we definitely won’t be after yesterday.

Dear, oh dear, it seems this place has gone downhill, and it seems reading these reviews, that we're not the only ones experiencing this.
We used to go to the Deer Park quite regularly, but haven't been in a couple of months, and sadly the place has gone downhill in quality and quantity.
We visited today, Sunday, and it was very busy. The menu was limited, but as it was Sunday, it was Sunday roasts, plus a few different mains. To be honest, if you didn't fancy a roast dinner, the menu was limited.
For start, the place was actually cold. Yes, it was a cold day outside, but the radiators weren't on and there was a draft coming through the gap in the french doors where we were sat. It wasn't just us that were cold, either, as most other diners were sat with big jumpers on, and some were wearing their coats whilst eating.
I had a starter of scallops with black pudding bon-bons, which were delicious. The scallops were perfectly cooked. But it was a very measley portion - £10 for THREE scallops. Other half didnt have a starter.
Half of the non-roast menu had cauliflower cous-cous with it, which is obviously trendy at the moment, but I hate it. The only thing I really fancied was the lamb kofta's, which were served with flat bread and the damn cauliflower cous-cous, so I asked for it without. I wasn't offered any side salad as a substitute, which would have been a sensible offer. I ordered some sweet potato fries with parmesan and rosemary.
The kofta's came with harissa hummus and tzatziki and the flat bread. It looked a sorry site on the plate. The kofta's were actually disgusting: no flavour, a poor texture and terribly greasy. They tasted bought in from a cheap supermarket, and were either microwaved or deep-fried or both. When I put my fork in, grease actually seeped out of them, and I there was so much grease, I actually felt sickly. I only ate one, and I only managed that as I was starving. The hummus wasn't nice and was obviously bought in, and the tzatziki wasn't good, either. As the kebabs were on top of the tzatziki and hummus, they had grease in it as well.
Couldn't taste the rosemary on the fried sweet potatoes, and they were also very greasy.
I can honestly say that it was the worse meal I've had in years. The kebabs tasted like something you get when you're drunk and buy a kebab on the way home from the takeaway - but worse.
Basically, it was three greasy kebabs and a few blobs of Greek sauces for £13.95!!!!
To be fair, I did call the waitress over and told her I wanted it sending back and why, and she offered something else, but I didn't fancy anything else as I didn't want to wait ages for something else, so she took it off the menu, although the sweet potato fries were still there, but I wished I'd sent them back as well, as I didn't eat them.
My other half had the Sunday trio roast and ordered extra roast potatoes. The beef was dry, chewy and poor in flavour and looked like catering beef that was pre-sliced, pre-roasted and then warmed in the microwave. Either that, or they pre-roasted it themselves, sliced it, and then warmed it up in the micro to order.
The pork was acceptable.
The roast chicken was just a drumstick!! But at least it wasn't dry.
The gravy - which was described as bottomless - was already poured on and not served separate, so was hardly "bottomless". The gravy wasn't brilliant.
The roasties tasted pre-made and warmed up.
The Yorkshire pudding was very good.
This would be reasonable if this was a £5.99 roast dinner, but it wasn't! It was £16.50, which is way above average for a roast dinner. This would be fine if it was excellent quality, but it was far from it.
You get better at a Wetherspoons, and certainly far better at a Toby carvery, where it's £9.95 on a Sunday, and £5.99 during the week and the meat is far superior quality, and you get unlimited vegetables, and better gravy, which isn't dumped on your food for you.
Overall, our visit was extremley disappointing. This place was always slightly over-priced for what you got, but now it's severely over-priced and the quality has taken a nose-dive.
I can cook far better myself, and I'm not a chef!!

After reading such negative reviews on here, I was nervous for what awaited us for the special Father’s Day Lunch that I had booked... However, the Deer Park was brilliant! Very friendly welcome from staff on arrival & throughout our stay. Lovely spacious table and great atmosphere. Food was delicious and kids portions were very substantial. Agree that the rectangular plates for mains are a tad small, but the massive Yorkshire puddings needed a plate of their own anyway! My husband had trio of roast meat which was tender & flavoursome, not dry or rubbery like other reviews. My nut roast was lush & kids enjoyed their sausage & mash, cod goujons and ice cream pudding. The pub was very busy and our mains took a little while to arrive, but worth the wait. Food is a little pricey compared to other similar pubs. Would definitely go back though, thanks.

Excellent starters but stupid little plates for main course (especially for the so called trio of roasts that I had) meant that yorkshire pudding finished up on ano plate and it was cold and hard. Nobody ate them we watched countless numbers going back to the kitchen. The beef was hard and overcooked and the "gravy" was veal jus. Very nasty indeed and the whole thing 3 times the price of a delicious Toby who have the best beef ever. Never again.

2nd time visiting here.lovely place.great location. My salad very nice,my husband got a t cut steak.poor value for money.very fatty and not a lot of meat worth eating.sorry but didn't think that it warranted been £20.still have to say "miller and Carter "make the best steaks for miles.they are excellent value for money too.its the little extras they provide like secret onion loaf half iceberg lettuce with beautiful sauces over the top.lovely chips mushroom, tomato. Nice butter on the steak.not sure we will frequent here at deerpark often.x x oh and rose wine at nearly 8 pound.bit pricey.x

Birthday celebration and good night ruined by ok food which is overpriced and incompetent staff. Management have no management skills whatsoever and are totally incapable of saying sorry to what was obviously their mistake. Customer service skills very lacking. Just because they overprice the food doesn't mean you're getting quality. I won't be eating here again to be treated like a second class citizen

Great food, nice atmosphere, good selection of beers and lagers, would definitely recommend this pub for a nice intimate drink and meal with your beloved!

Very disappointing roast dinner yesterday. The beef was tough as old boots, I couldnt eat it. The rectangular plate was awkward to eat from and the Yorkshire Pud was pants.
Nailed the roast potatoes though.

Food was ok, forgot one main meal and a child's meal off our order. We then had an issue with 3 separate cards and apparently it wasn't at all anything todo with them it was our fault that all 3 of these cards were not working. How ever when taken to the bar for payment and shown how to type into the machine the details required low and be hold it worked but still our fault, so much so that when leaving after spending £500 at the deer park I am pulled aside and advised that they have checked the machines are working fine, well thank you deer park for treating us like an imbecile, when we never said it was an issue with the machines it was the way you were typing in the details, but thank you for also making sure that we were noted of this. We have never had a problem before but after this can't say we will be coming back.

Visited last week for a birthday lunch with a friend not the first time I've been but I did mention that I had received an email from them for my birthday it was for a free bottle of Prosecco when 4 dined off the main menu but there were only the two of us so I suggested we might qualify for half a bottle or a glass .. the staff were lovely & said we could still have the bottle if I had the email .. The meal was lovely & the staff & service I also couldn't fault
