Nice intimate place full of character. Barman was happy to talk about beer and was good at asking if we wanted another once we were sat.

Exquisitely served pints of North's beer, and I mean perfect - presentation, glassware, conditioning, freshness + a friendly chat with the knowledgeable staff member. Beer gets no better than this.

Not bad at all for a hot balmy sunday afternoon.
Northern Beers and sells a variety of beer strengths ranging from Session beer to ,,, head scramblers.
Didn't have food and don't know if they sell anything other than bar snacks. Busy, but got served quickly and some had cocktails and I had beer.
Parking nearby and nice outdoor seating area, which was busy.
Overall... not bad at all.

Best of the North bars...they always have different North beers in and also guest beers. Great to call in for a schooner or two of strong beer before a curry! Friendly, knowledgeable staff, nice ambience, Oakwood is now a bit of a destination for craft beer lovers with two other craft beer bars opening nearby - this is the original though and still the best.

Perfect little bar. Interesting North beers as standard plus a fabulous Verdant dipa today. Friendly chatty bartender, fridge full of classic 'craft' like chimay etc, beer buyer knows their stuff. Brilliant place for beer nerds like me, but nice bar for anyone!

I absolutely love this bar. North is an amazing brewery but Preston is my favourite pub. Great beer, great atmosphere, full of roundhay / Oakwood locals. Gotta love the vibes... I am there all the time now and open space the gluten free beer is the best on the market
