The Geek Retreat

Great little place to have a little game, a few drinks and buy geek gear. Clientel are quite nice for the most part, however I do recommend going either as a group with other people, or going to one of their game nights as there are often very few people not already playing a game. Drinks are lovely, good variety of soft drinks and (their best items)milkshakes, and they have a section for chaff cards for 10p that are pretty fun to go through. That being said the place does have its flaws. The food is quite mediocre, nachos hotdogs, oven chips, that kind of thing. The food is perfectly fine and enjoyable , alongside being inexpensive, just don't expect anything special. Staff can also be particularly harsh at times with customers when it's busy, however I am willing to let it slide the considering they have to deal with some of he most socially unaware people on the planet (me included) 24/7. Its also quite hard to peruse the more valuable singles binders outside of just the the chaff, when it comes to actually accessing them, with you having to ask the staff manning the cooking station and till, who will often seem pretty annoyed that you've asked them to do so, however again considering this place has been the victim of theft in the past it is understandable.

They have a good selection of food and drink . The staff are lovey and the store has a lovely atmosphere. They have a selection of TCG boxes and tins for whichever TCG you play. They also have boxes of 10p loose TCG CARDS. as well as a selection of board games that you can play in store as well as ones to purchase. They hold difremt events during the week that are awesome. Would recommend paying the team a visit.

I visited GR Leeds for a MTG event and it was fantastic! The event itself was really well organised, judges were great and always at hand for questions and the venue was perfect. The shop itself was really well stocked with a huge variety of products, the food was delicious and there was plenty to choose from and the staff were super friendly!
