Food and service was amazing. We had the Pork Belly Slices and Garlic (Spice level was perfect, chicken skewers (traditional tasting), Beef Brisket and Noodle Soup (could have done with a bit more seasoning, but that’s my preference, but overall really good and very tender beef) and the chicken noodle stir fry (very much what you think when ordering Chow Mein). Only negative is that the venue could do with some music to add to atmosphere.
What an exceptional dining experience 👍 Tasty food with full on flavour, wow. You just have to try it. Highly recommend.
Authentic Chinese food which I have tried in this area. Quite little restaurant with very friendly staff. I tried the chicken spring rolls, sliced pork belly in chilli oil and chicken friend rice which was very good. The egg fried rice could have been a little bit more flavourful. Stir fried king prawn with cashews lacked flavor for my taste
Came here after recommendations from friends and seeing good reviews. I must say, in order to capture the true essence of the food here is to choose their stand out dishes, for example, the spicy whole sea bass dish was absolutely delicious. You’ll need a vegetable dish (I personally liked the Chinese cabbage dish, though I would’ve preferred pak Choi or choi sum) along with a bowl of rice in order to really enjoy it properly. The extra noodle dish was great, but majority of the favour is in the soup so don’t eat the noodles on its own; the noodle’s texture was good. I do have some minor criticisms, the salt and pepper squid was slightly too salty, so a wedge of lemon would’ve been good to accompany but wasn’t available, however the texture was good, which is a sign of good quality squid. Additionally, the service was very slow, even for a Thursday night when I visited, as I’d waited 30min for the squid starter and my drinks were forgotten by the waiter. Overall, I would recommend this place as it serves great food. In order to really enjoy an Asian restaurant, particularly Chinese, you should try order more traditional dishes or at least dishes that aren’t on your regular takeaway menu.
Great experience and very tasty food. Beef in chilli oil and minced spicy beef dumplings were the highlight!
All 4 of our group agreed this was the best Chinese food we'd ever had. Ordered loads and every single dish was great. Staff were very friendly and the interior was lovely. Everything about this place is 10/10.
BEST CHINESE RESTAURANT IN LEEDS‼️me and my friend are vegan, they really satisfied us with well-made, home-made, delicious and big portion Chinese food. before I became vegan I have also tired other foods in Wen's, they are also AMAZING‼️‼️they have a lot of seasonal veggies which means, they can give you new surprise everytime! it is proper Chinese food💯❤️ the staff are nice and friendly. remember to book im advance!
Stars of tonight's dinner were salt and pepper squid, lamb with spring onions and green beans with ginger. All perfectly cooked, tasty and tender. The front of house team are warm and welcoming.
Brilliant restaurant, food was very tasty and much better than a takeaway. Very authentic Chinese and the staff are so nice. Small venue with not many tables so advise booking to not disappoint.
One of my favourite places in Leeds. Never disappoints: delicious food, tastes freshly made. Fantastic service and atmosphere.
What a joyous suprise, spectacular food and easily some of the best Authentic Chinese food I have eaten, I personally found the Kung Pao a little too fragrantly spiced. But everything else was amazing!!

Fabulous place, the food was authentic and delicious. I had the prawn grilled dumplings and the tomato egg noodle soup, both highly recommend!
I've wanted to come to Wen's for a while, and finally did this weekend, and it was worth the wait. We started with fried minced beef dumplings which were perfect. Then we had the chicken in chilli oil - sliced cold chicken thighs on the bone in the most perfectly spiced chilli oil. For mains we had the fried sea bass and lamb with cumin, two very different but equally delicious dishes. The staff were excellent and it was a friendly atmosphere and you could tell the other diners were also enjoying their food as much as we were. Will definitely visit again soon.
Easily the best family run Chinese restaurant in Leeds. The food is as authentic as it can get. The Xiao Long Bao and pan fried dumplings are definitely homemade from scratch. If you fancy to try something new I highly recommend the pork belly with crushed garlic it goes really well with fried rice. And if you are a gym enthusiast who likes protein a lot then the “mouth water chicken” is definitely your choice. Thank you for Mr Wen’s nice and warm hospitality, definitely coming back again and again.
Food was delicious, service excellent and thought it was reasonably priced. Would definitely go again.
Dined on a Wednesday evening after the dinner rush. The food was delicious, and the staff were attentive and swift. The Dan Dan Noodles were delicious!
This place is just a wonderful family run Chinese restaurant. Each dish was created with a touch of love and dedication. Great service as well, Chao was simple a delight. Really enjoyed it and can’t wait to return.
Outstanding Chinese food. Authentic and delicious, Wen’s offers dishes you won’t find in your average restaurant. This is my favourite Chinese in the area by a mile, and comes highly recommended.
