Best coffee and buttered toast in Leek by far. Should be on prescription Thankyou Lawtons for a little pick when I need it.

Pie, chips and gravy is absolutely where it is at! Proper traditional pie like nowhere else. Would also recommend the shortbread with chocolate chips 😍

Discovered by accident, now regular customer. Being housebound I am dependent on family or friends to order and collect but well worth the wait. These pies are a ray of sunshine in a grey life!

Can't comment on the food (apart from the sausage rolls which are lovely). The coffee is lovely. The staff are always pleasant and welcoming. What more can you actually ask for?

Never been to Leek and just walked in. Very friendly staff, my wife has mobility issues and was made to feel very welcome - always a good indicator. It's not a large shop with perhaps 6/7 tables but two outside if weather OK. The shop was busy with people buying pies all the time, although the large meat and potato were sold out! I had cheese and onion pie, chips, gravy and mushy peas as my grandma used to make - can't give higher praise than that. My wife had the meat and potato. It was the best cafe meal we've had in years, also a very reasonable price. Also noticed a decent choice of other meals including omelettes, salads, all day breakfast etc. Will definitely visit Leek again - especially to visit Lawtons.

We had breakfast here. Absolutely smashing and good value. Went back and got pies to take home for tea. Cakes looked yummy.

Outstanding pies, fresh hand made. Perfectly sized and ratio of pastry to filling is spot on, for me. The mini victoria sponge in the display counter which was an absolute bargain at £1.40 to take away was so nice it was almost unreal. Very moist, plenty of delicious buttercream filling and a smudge of raspberry jam, again all in the perfect ratios. I also had a breakfast sandwich today which was very nice indeed, good quality ingredients and freshly made. This is a shining example of a lovely family bakery that takes care and pride in what it does. Highly recommended.

Good food at reasonable prices. Place was clean. Didn't have to wait too long for food to be brought to us. Staff friendly and pleasant but not over fussing.
