My girlfriend decided take me here for my birthday as she knows I love a good steak. The manager served us personally and clearly cares about the restaurant and it’s food. I started with one of their smoky mocktails which was a great way to start the meal. Very impressed with the literal part of the ‘smokey!’ I ordered the sirloin medium rare with chips and it was all cooked to perfection. The mushroom sauce was full of flavour and the chips/salad tasted great. For dessert I had the classic cookie dough with a cappuccino on the side and was pleasantly surprised with both. All in all I’d highly recommend this restaurant to anybody in Leicester who wants a great steak at a good price. All of the staff were very friendly and we’d love to return in the future.

Just went yesterday with a few friends. The owner was very friendly and welcomed us. He came to check if everything was okay during our meal. The food was good and so were the desserts. Great customer service. Looking forward to returning soon

We were 15 minutes late for a reservation, we called up and explained. Our journey took longer then expected so instead of giving our table away they called us to see where we were as they were holding our table. Even though it was very busy from this alone we knew we were in for a treat. Excellent service from the phone call to the food to the hosting. Could not recommended this place enough and will 100 percent be returning with a larger group of people. Super happy from start to finish. :)
I visited this place last week while I'm the area on business. It was recommended by a colleague so I took my clients for dinner here and was very impressed with the selection of food on offer. We were looked after very well indeed. I will now recommend this Steak Restaurant for people coming to this area.
The staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Obviously due to valentines day they were very busy but still attentive. The food was lovely, the steak was cooked very well. Would definitely recommend.
Me and my partner were looking for somewhere to eat within Leicester, we looked around and stumbled upon this place. Being both steak lovers and we've both never really done fine dining as such, we figured we'd give it a shot. What we were presented with left us both in awe...The food was amazing, the atmosphere was wonderful and the staff left us feeling like we were at home. Speaking for myself, I have had many steaks in my time, cooked in various different ways, all I can say is, without a shadow of a doubt that the steak that I was presented with was the very best of steaks I have ever had.
So I came in for a calm and relaxing time after a long day and I was extremely glad by the whole experience. First of all I came in with a friend and ordered our pipe. We only had to wait at max 5 minutes. Although there a few problems with the pipe; the pot was a tad harsh, it wasn’t starting up properly and the coals needed changing. However at the press of a button my server Haroon was there in an instant to sort it all out for us. I also ordered a chips and I was completely satisfied with the taste, speed and portion size. Overall, throughout my entire stay Haroon and Aaliyah took care of us and I could tell they care about their customers. I was that happy with my visit I ended up coming back again on the same day after going gym.
I visited here with my friends last night for a catch up - there was 7 of us in total. As it was a Wednesday evening it wasn’t particularly busy - however this served as an advantage for us as it meant we could hear each other without having to shout. The restaurant has a wide variety of choices from steaks to burgers, pasta dishes and more. The owner was very welcoming and accommodating, he was informative and once we decided what we wanted to eat he ensures he’d get our order correct by confirming. This restaurant is very good for listening to people’s preferences as our party included people with particular food tastes. This is a big plus for me because other restaurants very rarely change a menu option and you then do not have many choices. But steak and lounge went above and beyond to ensure our food was served the way we’d like, it was piping hot and fresh, served in a timely manner, It had flavour and it was presented nicely too. I had the slider burger meal as I couldn’t decide what I wanted and it was delicious. A trio of different burgers that were served with salad in a sweet brioche bun and steak cut chips! Their portions are very generous and the owners motto is to always have their guests full and happy which we all were as all our plates were completely clean. We didn’t have room for dessert as we were so full! This restaurant is excellent value for money and I’d highly recommend a visit. It serves halal food, no alcohol (but has a wonderful selection of mocktails and drinks) and there is parking right next to it too (NCP car park) We also visited the shisha lounge downstairs which serves desserts. It’s got a really warm and cosy atmosphere and all the staff were very friendly and sweet. Our shisha was perfect (premium blue mist + skittles) and my friend ordered the skillet chocolate cake which was hugggeeee so two people shared. It’s a great spot to chill and socialise with friends. Il definitely be coming back. Thank you for having us and we’ll definitely be back. 😊
After looking for something nice to eat stumbled upon this restaurant and decided to go there. As soon as you walk in it has a nice atmosphere and everyone is so welcoming. The prices are good and the menu is amazing. The starters are very good portion size and are presented very nicely as well. The main course was astonishing and left you wanting to come back again. You are well looked after and the owner makes sure everything is ok and to your satisfaction. Overall spectacular customer service and amazing food. Would highly recommend.
Turned up on a busy evening and the owner ensured we got seated and served. Staff were lovely and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the garlic mushrooms for starters. Fillet steak was melt in the mouth, truly the best steak I've had. T bone was great too. Children's meals lovely. Smokey mocktails fun and tasty. This restaurant was a great find and will definitely be returning!
Came from Nottingham as we saw the place on the Instagram explore page and decided to try it out. Sirloin steak was cooked to perfection (Medium rare, you have to get Medium Rare!) chips, crunchy on the outside fluffy on the inside just how it should be! Grilled chicken burger was delicious too and the portion was huge! We tried the shisha downstairs and again no faults, perfect blend, and perfect service. We had the frozen lychee and passion fruit which the owner kindly recommended. Nice vibe to the place. Will definitely be coming back! Thank you guys!
We spent a lovely evening here tonight. The staff were attentive and welcoming. The food was great, super quality and cooked well. We will certainly be returning. A great place to celebrate with our daughter and family x
You MUST get the BBQ rib! I really enjoyed the fillet steak as well. These are my favourites but the food as a whole is of fantastic quality. The staff are so friendly and helpful. They were proffesional throughout and made our time there very enjoyable. Always worth coming whenever we pass through Leicester.
This is our second time at Steak and lounge and Faz and his team never fail to amaze us! The food quality, the portion size and the taste is phenomenal! If you live in Leicester or you come for a visit to the city, definitely come here!! The decor is amazing too!
Visited with a group of friends today (24/01/2020) and where do I start! We had a very warm welcome from the owner of the restaurant and he made us feel very comfortable. The menu is very simple and not over complicated. We ordered all the starters on the menu and they were all amazing. The presentation of the starters was very nice. The food was fresh and the flavours were perfect, so much so that we decided to order more! Most of the group had a fillet steak for the mains and what we got was wow! The cut of meat was of a high quality and it was cooked to perfection. The mushroom and peppercorn sauces were very tasty and complimented the steak perfectly. Overall we had a great experience and the service was second to none. The food was value for money and of a high standard. I have visited many restaurants that specialise in steak and I have to say Steak & Longe is at the top of the list. I have to give a special mention to the owners who make the experience special and personal. Highly recommended and I will definitely be visiting again very soon! Thank you Steak & Lounge for amazing food, great service and a special experience!
