Sat evening 2 couples - lovely food n defo value for money. Karaoke gd but defo needs to start a lil later.
We weren’t offered a sweet felt lil left out our plates were slow to be cleared n place not exactly heaving. Would return but think a gd place to be if celebrating a special occasion with a group. Food was very gd.
We have just had a fantastic meal at Altro Mondo! From our starters (bruschetta, garlic mushrooms & Calamari) to our mains (sirloin steak, pasta with spicy sausage & broccoli, and margarita pizza), the food was fantastic & authentic! Special mention to the customer service as well, as it was excellent! It was also very reasonable priced.
We can’t wait to return to try some more dishes!
Friendly chef offering great food and good portions - tiramisu was to due for. Chef came out personally to talk to us!
We had the most amazing meal last night (Wednesday 15th January) I meant to reserve a table but we just walked there about 5pm. We were greeted by a lovely lady who made us feel very welcome straight away.
We had the pre theatre meal, fantastic value with a glass of wine, desert at £2.00 and coffee £1.00.
Everything was beautifully cooked and served.
We loved the show "West side story"
We will certainly be back, thankyou all once again. We will certainly recommend!

Family-run Italian restaurant, a few minutes walk from The Curve Theatre. This is a superb place for a pre-theatre dinner. For this they have a special menu - main and small house wine for £12. Main choices include a couple of meats, a pasta dish, a vegetarian dish, and fish of the day. Simple, beautifully cooked and presented. We followed it up with a pudding for £2 (tiramisu, profiteroles), and coffee for £1. Total cost £30 for two. Fantastically good value! Best to be ordering by 1730 for a 1930 performance.
After the initial issue of having booked on-line and not hearing back all was good.
I followed up with a phonecall just a day before the event and was told that there wouldn't be a problem accommodating us ( a group of 5) but I would phone in future to ensure a firm booking as the restaurant is very popular.
The food was tasty and the portions very generous so make sure you have a good appetite ! Overall, very good value for money!
If you are attending The Curve Theatre for a show, this is the place to eat, only 2 minutes walk, and a restaurant worth a visit.
We ate here pre show and can’t recommend this place highly enough.
Great food, cooked to perfection, at sensible prices.
We had lovely freshly cooked food with good sized portions and excellent service. The staff were very friendly.
Thank you Altro Mondo for a well priced meal
I visited Altro Mondo with a group of 20 of us from a fitness class. The service was excellent, friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was great on a Saturday night with your favourite music hits and karaoke too! Food was delicious, bar staff, waiters, manager and karaoke man all brilliant. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to go again!
Not been here for years not sure why as I remember it being really good then .had pre theatre menu really good food and excellent price. Staff were really friendly will definitely be returning.
Went for pre-theatre meal. Great service, great food, good value and good menu choices. Definitely recommend. We'll be going again.
We ate here a few weeks ago before going to the curve theatre.
We all had the fish special from their pre-theatre menu and it was superb, lots of it and very tasty!
Excellent value for money and the staff were very friendly!
This restaurant is a hidden gem and we will definitely be returning!!
4 of us dined here before going to the Curve.
There is a pre theatre menu but as we had plenty of time we selected from the main menu.
Very friendly waitress helped my wife with the menu as she has a number of food intolerances.
The food was excellent and plentiful as well as being great value for money.
Will definitely return.
Just a few minutes walk from the Curve Theatre this restaurant offers an excellent pre-theatre meal. With a choice of 4+ main courses and a glass of wine (or other choices) for £12 it was a great way to start the evening. The food was good with lots of chunky potato wedges and ample salad on the side. The service was excellent with a cheerful waitress adding to the warm feeling. Will definitely go again.
I took a chance on Altro Mondo as I was looking for somewhere close to The Curve theatre and I'm so glad I did! Brilliant service and a warm welcome, we also got to meet the head chef / owner Carlos Ferreira who was very friendly and nice to chat to. Everyone loved their food, the portions were very generous, reasonably priced, plenty of choice and the house red wine (Montepulciano D'Abruzzo) was delicious. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, I can't wait to go back. If I could rate it higher than five I would!
Altro Mondo doesn’t fail to deliver with fantastic food, great atmosphere and wonderful staff. Every time we’ve been it’s been excellent. I’m sure we’ll be back again!
We wanted somewhere close to The Curve Theatre, but not your typical mainstream restaurant, to have an anniversary meal for catching a show.
How lucky were we to fall upon this little gem! From outside I was a little dubious what it would be like inside, but once through the door it was great. Amazing surroundings, friendly staff, absolutely delicious food and great price! We cannot fault this restaurant at all. We will definitely return and happily recommend.
I looked this restuarant up as we wanted to have dinner the day we arrived. Very simple and unpretentious restaurant but the food was excellent. The waiter did not recommend the steak and cheese as he said it was not popular. My friend ordered it anyway and it was delicious. All of us thought the food was delicious and felt freshly prepared. Was a it disappointed with the desert however.
It was our 1st visit to Altro Mondo and we weren't disappointed, waiting staff friendly and the chef came out to welcome us. Food was amazing, piping hot and so flavourful, prawns were to die for! Definitely try this place great value for money and authentic.
Lovely restaurant, very friendly staff, huge portions of delicious food, and very well priced. Can't really ask for more of a restaurant really!
