Easily one of the best Sunday roast’s about! The roast beef is my go to and it’s never disappointed. Remember to bang on a side of cauliflower cheese too! High quality, fresh local ingredients (including some grown on site, I believe). Good selection of beers too - the recent(ish) addition of Stee
Some great Ales 🍺 for me and cocktails for my wife, could it get any better? Yes, we had a nice Fillet Steak 🥩 and a Ribeye steak 🥩, and we can thoroughly recommend as they had great hospitality & we could park our motorhome in the large car park overnight as long as we ate & drank , not a problem ❤
Started coming here 20 years or so and it's had peaks and less so good periods. This does your standard pub-grub and pizzas [latter looked decent on the next table!] I had coffee [£4] and then fish and chips. Food was good but the oil definitely needed changing and there was an off taste to the v
Visited here as we were keen to try some game! The latest menu has taken these options off. Lovely cod scampi to start, the Billy pie was nice. The pork belly was good but not rendered enough to my liking. Just a few elements that confused us, even though we queried it. The veg dauphinoise is not a
The steak and ale pie was delicious, I wish my venison and rabbit casserole was bigger because I enjoyed it. I was still hungry after that but it came with half a kilo of white bread. The cheesecake dessert was a little bit disappointing. It's expensive but the atmosphere is cosy and calm, and the q
Lovely evening out with a bunch of colleagues. Everyone enjoyed their food. The menu had great choices and lots of options to cater for dietary and allergen needs. The food was well presented, and the flavours were great. The portions were very generous, we had to have a big break before desserts!
Wow, just wow! Arrived in our motorhome and was shown a secluded area just off the main road that we could park in. It has a lake and beautiful areas to walk in. They've got lots happening here with there very own shop with natural honey and veggies that they grow on site. The food was fabulous, but
A great gastro pub in converted barn space with local vendors and shops in the area. The decor was perfection and I couldn’t resist the wood fired pizza. If I had to level any criticism is that it was super chilly inside - not a heated space in the bar area anyways. Had to stay bundled up but otherw
Cool rustic pub just on the outskirts of Leicester. Only serve pizza before 6pm, however pizza very very good. Excellent selection of beers and spirits. Don't accept cash for some reason. Have nice seats with wood burners. Very comfortable atmosphere.
Best pub Sunday dinner I've had for a long time. Average price and absolutely delicious. Pork and lamb well cooked and perfectly cooked vegetables for my taste with nice thick gravy. Friendly, family atmosphere with large bar area and restraunt seating. Good selection of beers. Just outside of the
We always go to the shop to get some icecream, thought we'd give the restaurant a go, can happily say that it wasn't a disappointment. Girlfriend had the seabass which was so good, Sirloin cooked too how I wanted it peppercorn sauce was lovely. Would definitely recommend for a meal in if your close
Awsome pudding, friendly hosts and plentiful seating. Dog being allowed is amazing. In the summer the outdoors is great. Good food and atmosphere for kids files and all.
Lovely cosy place for delicious freshly made stone baked pizza's to a wide variety of foods. Good choice of drinks ranging from ales to largers, wines and spirits. Friendly staff i would definitely recommend 👌
Lovely afternoon tea . Amazing choice of goodies . Loved the carrot hummus was so different. The scones were so delicious. My mother said it was hand down the best afternoon tea she’s had and we have had a few . I do agree . Service was excellent. Took home some of there honey .
Lovely place to meet eat and drink. Very friendly staff and obliged in us by tweaking bits of our chosen dishes to suit our preference. Attentive throughout. Very good size portions which I couldn't manage but they kindly provided a take away tray. Spacious comfortable seating arrangements. Plenty o
Me and my friends visited here last night for some food and drinks, it was beyond phenomenal. We had such a great time and the food was exceptional, the best food I have ever eaten in a pub. Thanks to Gareth, Ben and their team for such a great night!
