We went for the early bird 2 course set menu, and there was a good choice to choose from.
We went on a Wednesday at 5.45pm and were the only ones in, so we couldn't really get much of an atmosphere.
After the meal we chose to have a dessert and told we could choose anything from the main menu which was good.
Beautiful Building to have an evening meal. Former Bank. Staff gave us a little history about the place. Food was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful.
We all really enjoyed our Sunday dinner here! The food was tasty and good quality. However they were severely understaffed and service took a while - we got our own menus from the stand and they forgot to give us Yorkshire Puddings. But the waiter was very apologetic and I felt sorry for him. I would definitely go here again!
We visited Middletons as a part of Leicester’s “Restaurant Week” to try their three course set menu that included an alcoholic drink for £14.95.
The food was impeccable and delicious, the staff were friendly and attentive, additionally the restaurant itself is atmospherically impressive and grand.
Overall, I would highly recommend a visit to this restaurant and would especially encourage others to try the set menu that ordinarily is available during the week, but with restricted times.
Smart and delicious cuisine .
Lovely ambience for a romantic evening or a bite to eat during the daytime as they have a variety of meals on the menu or specials.
But the food is fresh and nicely cooked and lots to choose with a variety of funky choices.
And the steaks are delicious :)
Overall the staff are very knowledgeable about the food and smart and very friendly.
Prices are reasonable but not expensive.
Will come back to it.
Thank you
Always enjoy Middleton's mainly for the steaks. On this occasion I had a Sunday roast (lamb). Very good portion for the price but I was disappointed to find they didn't have pork despite it being on their menu. Overall a good experience as usual.
We went for the bottemless brunch on a Sunday.
We got there at 12 for the 2 hour time slot, it was pretty quiet at this time so seated quickly and was offered our first drink almost immediately.
We then ordered, not log after and it came pretty quickly again. This ironically is a small gripe. With 2 hours to be there might be better to have a longer delay before eating or maybe even starters/sharers or something to take up some of the time...
Anyway, I had Nachos which were excellent and a lot of. My wife had the chicken burger which was also pretty good. Be nice to have some more brunchy options though, all day breakfast, eggs Benedict, maybe pancakes and bacon?
Drinks were all excellent and lots of choice. Beer on tap of course, prosecco which was very good and a good selection of cocktails.
Special shout out to our host and general nice guy Reece who was very friendly and helpful. He suggested drinks and was very attentive when it came to ordering more or getting anything else. He added that little bit of friendly and professional appreciatation to our time at Middletons.
All in all a good visit.
Middleton's is a place with huge potential. Under new management, and with significant additions to the menu, this is well worth a visit. I loved the "small plates" with big flavours. The food was delightful and gave our meal a tapas feel. The new manager was outgoing and friendly. All in all a delightful experience and highly recommend.mended.

Amazing atmosphere and decoration in the centre of Leicester. Maybe the best steakhouse in the city with high quality meats. Set menus are a great choice for punch offering multiple options at a really great price. The baked camembert was delicious and perfectly paired with the onion chutney. Highlight was the lemon and white chocolate dessert; very light and refreshing.
Great service, tasty food, beautiful steak well made, pleasant atmosphere, reasonable prices for the quality, enjoyed the place indeed.
