Last night we visited Bobbys for our second visit to celebrate our anniversary. What an amazing time we had the food was incredible and the staff were so welcoming, friendly and helpful. It was great to see the menu clearly labelled with vegan and gluten free options. Last time we went we bought the recipe book written by the owner which is also really good. Would definitely recommend the place.

We stumbled on this absolutely magnificent restaurant after visiting The Space Center. The waitress and staff were more than helpful, the food was unique nothing like the normal ‘curry house’. It was the best Dosa I have ever had. We bought a cook book from them. Fabulous place, delicious food.We hope to visit again.

Came here a couple weeks ago for the first time. It was before noon and quietish. The lady serving us was very friendly and fast. I’d recommend the chilli paneer and special chaat - they were both cooked well and very flavourful. I will be visiting again.

Even though Bobby’s has been in the same spot for 48 years, I ashamed to say this was my first visit but better late than never. Like many others I suspect having seen it on TV when Rick Stein visited for afternoon tea, I thought I had to try it and wasn’t disappointed. It was a surprise late birthday treat for my wife and we were joined by a couple of neighbours and what a treat! A cornucopia of flavours, textures, colours and spices, the presentation and service were both excellent. We were ably served by Dipika, Kolmal and Kal, who took the time and trouble to explain every dish to us. What they didn’t tell us was how many dishes they were bringing out, although to be fair they did warn us that we might need to lay down afterwards! A truly enjoyable afternoon, which if you’ve never had an Indian afternoon tea I would highly recommend you try. We will definitely return and try some of the other wonderful dishes they have to offer.

Bobbys is a staple in Leicester especially during Diwali. It can get really packed during afternoon service at weekends but generally quite good. Would recommend the ambli mogo, crispy bhaijya and Bobbys special chaat.

Met up at Bobby's for a friends birthday. Staff were amazing, very friendly. We took a cake down which was brought out by a few of the staff and they all sang happy birthday English and Hindi version😊. Food was lovely too, but the staff were exceptional.Thank you to you all. Highly recommend.

Such a pretty and lovely place combining Indian Street food with a modern mix! The customer service was excellent. The servers went out of their way to explain each dish as I was taken back by the variety of options. The food itself was delicious and full of taste and flavour! I really enjoyed my time here as someone who isn't from Leicester everything, down to the customer service, was amazing to my surprise. Would 100% recommend!

Had a wonderful experience at Bobby's on Saturday with the family. Have not been here in about 20 years, came especially for my mums 65th birthday as a surprise as she has fond memories of the place! The service from the staff was brilliant and very attentive, nothing was too much trouble. The food was also fantastic, all freshly made and full of flavour. Plenty of Vegan options too. There's a car park opposite which was also very convenient as we explored the rest of the golden mile for a few hours. Looking forward to coming back!

The service is terrible. When you ask for the bill weather it’s busy or not they take an age! I was also served a beer and the waiter poured half of the beer bottle into the glass which was greasy and dirty. He did get me clean glass and a fresh bottle of beer and offered me to keep the opened one too. But it’s just poor. The Chaat is the best though!

Great Indian restaurant in the heart of Leicester. Vegetarian and vegan food. Great food. Has a wide range of food. You can ask the level of spicy that you want. Also has very nice desserts that you can even order for take away. Very nice decoration . Long history restaurant, nearly 40 years. Medium low price. Ideal for going on a date, with friends or with family.

Loved the chaat and Indo-Chinese food served. Food was served really quickly. Staff was really nice and only 2-3 people were managing all the section of food area and still such good service given by them. Food was outstanding however need to work on sambar recipe and chutney recipe. They lacked flavour and sambar was so thick even thicker than greek yoghurt. Consistency can be seen in picture. It had some bad flavour. I didn't touch sambar for the rest of my meal. I am Indian and have grown up eating sambar.Chutney had no salt in it. Special chaat was amazing even better than India. Noodles and Manchurian had really nice flavours just like India. Too good Chai recipe can be improved as well. Overall good experience and front staff and chefs are working really hard...just bit attention to sambar and chutney please.

An amazing place I would have written a very long, very positive, very detailed review about every single experience there, if I had the time. In a nutshell, everything is very good: Food tastes as real indian food would taste in Delhi, but more mild to be tolerable and acceptable in the UK; comes with perfect temperature, in a good dishes; many interesting Indian infused set of drinks available as well . Staff are very helpful and friendly my 1 year old had a great fun with them will definitely visit again.

Outstanding chili paneer, one of the best I've had inside or outside of India in many years, and I eat it everywhere I go! Kalpesh and Team went above and beyond in accommodating our group's food allergies and preferences. Friendly, fun, and above all, great food. Stuffed chilli was good, Dal makhani was very much like you'd find in a Delhi backstreet dhaba... Tarka Dal was lacking seasoning though.
