We booked here for a father's day treat as from Newcastle but spent the weekend with family in Leicester .....got to say food was fab ...great menu served piping hot with lots if fresh veg service was excellent and then to top it off they serve Pimms on tap ,what more could I ask for xxx

Love this pub. Makes a wonderful stop as we walk around Watermead. Food is always good and they have a nice selection beers on tap. Can highly recommend their locally sourced burgers. Can't wait to drop in again.
Such a great day yesterday for the duck race at The White Horse! Great atmosphere and plenty of staff on hand during a very busy Bank Holiday Monday. Very friendly and polite staff as always. 👍🏼

Visited today - 2 adults & 2 grandchildren - two burger meals plus 2 kids meals, all excellent.
Watch out for the 'camemburger' - it includes a whole round of excellent cheese. Very filling...
The kids really enjoyed their meals too - there was plenty of food, and a "kids meal free with each adult meal" is a very good offer.
14 of us spent a great Sunday afternoon at The White Horse for an 80th Birthday dinner, food was delicious service was excellent, despite how many of us there were we were all served at the same time no one had to wait, we were not rushed and we will definitely return for another meal soon, Thank you to all the people at the White Horse for making my mum's day special

We're four siblings. Our grandfather was Burstall vicar in the 1920s & we dropped in on our 2024 canal walk. Woman brought her wet dog in & fellow placed a don't slip sign over the drips. Lovely passive aggression!
Gluten free knowledge from staff was great. Amazing foods and service. Nice car park. Amazing canal side location. Nice outdoor seating with a small park for the kids.
Good quality place but not pretentious at all. A bit higher than my normal price range. Dog owners will find this place friendly. I needed my food take away because of my plans, the helpful staff foil wrapped it, which was fine. Quite quickly, considering it's freshly made food and they were pretty busy at the time.
Service and food amazing! Highly recommend one of the best pub food experiences I have had in a long while we walked in not pre booking and asked for a table for 7. They couldn’t have been more accommodating. I had Brie and beetroot tart. Absolutely gorgeous!
We are a group of ex work mates who get together approximately once a month. Had a few meals since Lockdown at the Whitehorse. Always been fabulous food and service. Had a Christmas meal in December that was absolutely amazing, so decided to have a January meal which we did tonight. Once again food was amazing and the service and staff great. Thank you all.

Great meal enjoyed by all our party, including the dog, who was made very welcome and was given his own bag of treats! There is also a menu of drinks and ice creams for the dogs. Not all pubs that are dog-friendly are actually dog-welcoming but this one is.
The interior was light and bright and spacious, it is so nice not to be crammed in right next to another group of people but have room to relax and enjoy. Miss Piggy burger was a major highlight!
Nice selection of wines too and plenty to choose from on the main menu plus specials - would highly recommend for excellent quality and generous portions.
Was recommended to go to this pub by the hotel staff at the Ibis hotel and it was awesome .. the food was really nice! Great atmosphere in the pub, very busy .. plus the staff were super friendly .. thanks to the manager for putting up with our banter! 🤣
We had a fantastic night. The food was excellent. The staff were brilliant, friendly, and professional. There were 8 in our party but no mistakes, no fuss, just perfect. Well done 👏.. Great value for money too
My husband and I went for a hike and came across this pub at the end. The atmosphere was cozy and warm and the platter we ordered was perfect. I am definitely coming back again to try the steak. 2 things I really appreciated were that They allow dogs inside which I found perfect and had partitions between the tables
