Walked in and was busy in the morning.
They had their Christmas tree up which looked really nice and the atmosphere was good too.
The service was good and the staff members were all friendly.
We ordered a breakfast seen in the pictures and was very nice 👌🏽
I'd recommend that you visit this heritage site which has informative pictures placed on the walls which shows the history of the building and Leicester itself.

Good food and great service! The dishes are reasonably priced and the portions are very generous. Definitely recommend for families or just a meal out with friends.

We visited The White House in August 2023. The pub is a beautiful 1920s building, with a huge and elegantly decorated interior with a variety of different seating areas. To the rear is a massive beer garden stretching around the side of the pub and to the front is the largest free car park we’ve encountered at a JD Wetherspoon pub yet!

I pop in here with a mate to see what it like after not going in here for a fair few years now. This now Weatherspoon pub has a lovely atmosphere and a great beer garden. This pub has been a public house and hotel since 1950, when it was bought by the Northampton Brewery Company. Until then, the Georgian-style building had been a private residence, built in 1928 for a Mr TH Crumbie. The stone for the White House came from Normanton Hall, demolished two years earlier. The Hall stood 25 miles away on the southern shore of what is now Rutland Water (a reservoir and popular tourist attraction created in the 1970s). A nice place and a good Weatherspoon pub.

Just went for a drink and to sit out in the garden, which was very nice with lots of hanging baskets. Spoons seem to have acquired some really nice historic buildings. Its a big place; my daughter said the loos alone are bigger than her whole flat.

I use the app . I find the service good . Obviously when busy the tables are slow to be cleared . The curries are excellent this born out by the Asian clientele . Loads of space the garden affords private eating . There are plenty of gazebos should the weather turn inclement.

It's a lovely place to go, especially on the weekends gets really busy staff are all nice and young polite friendly. The atmosphere is amazing. The food is nice as well. service was great, definitely worth a visit 😀

Great place for the family to meet and enjoy time together. Staff didn't seat us which I found strange we just merged two tables together and staff didn't say anything about it. Didn't know we could book a table either. You can order food and drinks via the app. The coffee machine is a great touch. The garden is huge!

Looks lovely on the outside. Inside it’s very much a Wetherspoons.
Had brunch. Was very tasty. 2 dishes and 2 drinks for £15 is great value.

My friends and I go around once a month for brunch. Can't fault anything really. The food is an excellent price, hot drinks on tap, we never feel rushed. Our go to place for a Wetherspoons pub.

This has to be the best wetherspoons I have ever been too.
The Decor is stylish and modern and there is a garden outside to enjoy a beer in the summer or let the kids run around.
The staff are very friendly and always willing to help, the Food is cheap and cheerful, and the deserts are to die for.

To be objective (in spite of misgivings!) this charming venue serves a purpose for many. And. You can have a cheap, remarkably tasty machine coffee with refills or a very cheap soft drink like soda and lime with no pressure to spend more. Which you're probably then more likely to do

Busy but managed to find a table, got the southern fried chicken burger for an adult and child and the only difference is we paid an extra 5 pounds for a bit of sauce.... staff were OK except for a lady with dark hair that was quite rude and obnoxious... hubby's burger was burnt, she just grabbed the plate and walked off... she looked like some form of management... she needs a customer service course and needs to learn to smile...

Went for breakfast and it was lovely, the food was well cooked and Not greasy like some places. I ordered using the app which was very easy to use. I thought I would add some images of the menu so you can decide if it’s for you. Highly recommend for a decent price.

Don't agree with some of the posts; personally I thought the staff were very polite and helpful. If you use the bigger restaurants you have to expect they may be under a little pressure to get everyone served. But with free refils on tea and coffee...well happy! My food was really good, hot and I enjoyed it, recommend it.

Very disappionted in the breakfast , or lack of it, my partner had the very overpriced chicken burger and 5 chips , prices have gone up dramaticaly but quality and amount of food de-creased dramaticaly, staff need training on people skills, used to be cheep n cheerful , not anymore !!!!!!

I have noiced an improvement on the meals since I last went as we all know not to have high expectations of frozen food menu however the bar staff who took our order was obviously not bothered. Very unfriendly, unhelpful and unprofessional. There were 3 things wrong with the order (just for 4 of us) Manager waded across with his hands in his pockets and was very unprofessional with a peed off attitude. Understaffed for the large restaurant. No ice water left and only hot glasses on a hot day. Table was very unclean. When you pay before you eat staff dont care. Very expensive for poor service

Well I must say I was very disappointed with what was called a Fresh Fruit Salad if a bit of apple and banana and let's not forget the 4 blueberries a fruit salad then you chef needs to check again that strawberries and the like are plentiful this time of year but then to serve the ice cream in a dip dish with a spoon almost as big please look st this desert again

I have always enjoyed food here but I'm very disappointed the Sunday carvery has been stopped? It was one of the big reasons for my visits here. Also I feel breakfast used to be good in most wetherspoon pubs but has recently gone down hill for me. I do urge you to reconsider about Sunday lunch? I can get regular meals from anywhere so my visits to the white house will sadly be alot less from now on. I hope this review has been helpful kind regards Mr cross p.s just noticed alot of folk moaning about breakfasts on there reviews? Why does that not surprise me lol

Been going for years before and after weatherspoons took over, never had any problems with the food or staff when we have gone.
Chantelle Elliott-smith
The food is rubbish!! Flavourless and cold. Even my daighter wouldnt eat the spag bol and thats her favourite. And as for the staff the only ones that are any good is the bar staff!! Waiters/ waitresses are so ignorant and stand around. They don't clear your table for You, they think it is acceptable to eat your dessert with your dirty plates on the table still!! Never going back!!

FUNCTION ROOM
We recently had a family celebration and used the function room of the White House . It is set in a lovely setting in Scraptoft. There is plenty of parking also. The function room was lovely with wooden beams and a large window that had small panes. It was clean and self contained. (Toilets and bar were both within the room ) we were able to decorate the room how we liked. Also they have thought about things to help people hang banners ect on the window by leaving transparent suckers that you could twist strin/ribbons on . I have never seen that before. They have large round tables that seat 10 people around each. I believe they can fit 6 tables in.
The only criticism I would say was I think they could have done with another bar person. It wasn't too bad as it is a small venue. The staff were very helpful and helped wherever they were needed.
We had a brilliant night and thank the staff so much .

I undertand the standard of food is low as it comes out so quick.
My main problem is the lack of staff always.
The pub is packed and there simply is not enough staff to cover the clientele.
Slow Slow bar service, food left on tables for hours before being picked up.
Even the security had to help and clear tables.
It was the hottest day in 2018 yesterday and everyone knew it was going to be busy in the garden, but it was hard to find a table without bird droppings and most seats had not been touched for months.
Its a great place but managed very poorly

Ok 2 a bit harsh but .... this place is very much a ping restaurant dont go there 4 a classy meal because you will be sadly disappointed... but 4 I can't be bothered to cook day ..(.which is why we ended up there,) it's ok ....
Aly Howells-Chivers
Lovely food and friendly service! Mothers Day Lunch was well enjoyed today and although busy we were seated within 20 minutes of arrival and didn't have to wait long for food despite how busy it was! Thank you!
Jiten Unadkat
Absolutely amazing food for vegetarians, and excellent value for money, loved the all day breakfast and my partner enjoyed the vegetable lasagna, great value. The desert 2 for £5, great choice and value
Stefan Brakes
Went here for breakfast with the wife and daughter, breakfast was beaut, and having unlimited tea and coffee is good also definitely be coming back
Tracy Ovens
Had tea , toast and marmalade this morning ... think it's absolutely disgusting that you can only get free refills of coffee and not tea ... I DO NOT drink coffee ... why am I being discriminated against just because I drink tea .... extremely UNFAIR and shame on you !!!
