Don't agree with some of the posts; personally I thought the staff were very polite and helpful. If you use the bigger restaurants you have to expect they may be under a little pressure to get everyone served. But with free refils on tea and coffee...well happy! My food was really good, hot and I enjoyed it, recommend it. �
Been going for years before and after weatherspoons took over, never had any problems with the food or staff when we have gone.
Just went for a drink and to sit out in the garden, which was very nice with lots of hanging baskets. Spoons seem to have acquired some really nice historic buildings. Its a big place; my daughter said the loos alone are bigger than her whole flat.
Great value food and friendly service. Plenty of restaurant space and free car parking spaces. I thought some portion sizes were small, and my steak and kidney pudding was tiny. The toilets were clean, but on of the gents cubicles had been vandalised and there was no toilet paper dispenser. Good wheelchair access, and garden dining!
Generally, it's a good Wetherspoons. However, the short Asian manager is beyond a jobsworth. The overweight short balding manager is so miserable it makes you want to drink more, could be a clever marketing ploy.
Amazing selection of booze available. Food is the usual frozen affair, some of which is surprisingly tasty. It's a bit too expensive for what it is.
** The food has gone down hill massively, such a lack of consistency. The best item IMO on the main menu is the pizza, of which are even slightly cooked or burnt to a crisp. This site has become one of the worst for food quality, I don't order food from here anymore
Nice environment good food not to busy when we go usually about 4pm to 4pm it can get noisy later in the day never had bad food here very good price
Sought out a JDW place for a meal on our journey and had not been to this one before. An impressive building and setting it was clean and spacious inside with plenty of nice outdoor garden seating. Food and drink ordering was slick as usual and food delivered promptly.
Would go again but marked food down a little as we felt not quite to the usual standard.
I booked my table for my 50th Birthday on Father's day 2023. Fantastic service with friendly staff members and plenty of staff to service customers. Every meal were perfect, warm and cooked properly and taste good. Also drinks in beer garden, the space was huge and plenty of sitting for everyone to enjoy and kept tidy. Happy to return in near future too.
Probably one of the best Wetherspoons I’ve visited. Very clean and welcoming. The staff are very friendly. I’ve been a couple of times now, both for breakfast and dinner. Both occasions have been great. The only thing I dislike is that they’ve taken black pudding off the breakfast menu. I would definitely recommend
Food ordered with a table number but then we decided to sit in the pub garden so informed the bartender of our new seating arrangement and was told that the food will come out to the new table number.
20 mins gone by but no sign of food so went to the bar only to be told it was sent out to the original table when I was assured it will come out to the garden. Very poor service!
Went for breakfast and it was lovely, the food was well cooked and Not greasy like some places. I ordered using the app which was very easy to use. I thought I would add some images of the menu so you can decide if it’s for you. Highly recommend for a decent price.
Fantastic Wetherspoons, friendly staff, good beer, nice food. Lovely and interesting building and large garden (see photos). It's a big building with plenty of seating indoors and as much again in the huge garden. Some outdoor tables have gazebos over them do even if it rains you'll be fine. You can also have a walk around the village, look at the church and feed the ducks (although the pond is a bit hard to find). Which will help burn off those Wetherspoons calories/meals. For science lessons please visit foxteach. Enjoy your visit to "The White House" and walk around Scraptoft, we traveled a good distance to get there and it was worth it! 🙂🍺🍝🥘 Enjoy!
