What a hidden gem! Absolutely beautiful surroundings and such a quaint tea room.
Had the tuna baguette which was really delicious, as was the latte.
Enjoyed every minute of my visit!
Beautiful tea rooms. Fantastic baguettes, breakfast sandwiches and there signature scones. Lots of shelter outside so even if it rains u can sit comfortably outside. High chairs available and even a little play house for my niece to enjoy.
Love this place, I am always sad when it comes to the end of season, lovely place to stop for a drink on our walks through Aylestone Meadows.
So peaceful. Me and the dog watching the horses in the fields.. lovely coffee, lovely staff. Even gave the dog some freebie doggie treats
This is one of my local haunts. Had a nice walk along the canal then relaxed in the tea room garden with a lovely cheese scone and a lovely cuppa. A must visit!
Well worth the walk from the Narb along the Great Central Way. Relaxing coffee and a cream scone on a balmy October day. I shall be back when this cafe reopens in the Spring.
Do love it here looking out on the meadows with a cup of tea or an elderflower fizzy drink in my hand. On my last visit I unexpectedly had a lovely lunch as by chance a vegan soup was available.
Had another lunch here yesterday. A lovely place great food
We had a lovely bacon and sausage baguette along with a delightful cream tea.
Beautiful setting great service well worth a visit.
Love this place; people and dog friendly and great view of the meadows / canal :-)
Lovely visit as always to the tea rooms after our walk on the Meadows. Very pleasant atmosphere in the garden. Staff were friendly and efficient. Would recommend the scones- very light!
We have been going to this little gem when it opened 16 years ago, we always enjoy our visit, we access it either by a walk down the grand union canal, or a walk down the great central way, We are spoiled, the food is home cooked and always delicious, the staff are amazing, Pete and Fiona are doing an amazing job to accommodate the public by buying shelters for rainy days, well done x
A tearoom that is well worth a visit serving a variety of mouth watering food. It's also a great place to meet friends and sit and enjoy the views over Aylestone Meadows.
Beautiful, quiet tearoom on the edge of the canal, overlooking meadows. Fantastic service, highly recommend.
Found this place after an extensive google for somewhere to go on Mothers day and it is a lovely little hidden gem. A little out of the way and it’s not possible to park adjacent but it’s a relatively short walk up the tow path (not wheelchair/mobility limited friendly I’m afraid).
Once there though a lovely quaint tea shop serving great food and drink and I would imagine it’s lovely on a warm sunny day.
The afternoon tea was good value and the breakfast looks very good for the money! Well worth a trip out of the way.
First time going, lovely little place in a beautiful setting. Definitely be back soon.
We had a full English Breakfast with a hot chocolate today after a walk with the dogs....it was delicious ...we ate outside in the enclosed dog hut ..dogs are allowed inside too if you want but we were a little bit muddy and felt just as comfortable in the hut....very dog friendly ..bowls and water available and the dogs were given treats too.. ...lovely garden and views even in the winter ...would highly recommend
Lovely little cafe when walking along the canal. They serve a range of food and ice creams, including an absolutely lovely afternoon tea, plenty of sandwiches, cakes and tea! The children's afternoon tea is clearly made by someone who knows children well, the items are perfect and the kids we brought loved it all.
Still loving it. Coming back every Saturday!
Lovely little place! Coffee ☕ is amazing! As a coffee fanatic i can recommend this place to enjoy a good Coffee! Feels like a little 💎.
Took family here for an afternoon tea, its a hidden gem. Great area/views. Staff friendly. The afternoon tea was great, great price and variety of food. Nice for a treat.
While walking with friends along the canal, we stopped by the Kings Lock Tearooms, we were greeted with a friendly smile from a young member of the staff, the scone and cappuccino were both excellent, you can sit in or out.
Would highly recommend.
Lovely walk through Aylestone Meadows and the midway point was King's Lock Tearooms. What a fantastic place for a rest. Really lovely people, great food, lovely coffee. They even have a doggie menu which is fantastic. There is an undercover seating area for inclement weather and a play area for children. Right on the canal (not surprisingly) so easy walking, although paths are a bit uneven. Highly recommended.
Popped in for a snack whilst on a ride with friends along the canal. Nice little garden out the back with very reasonable prices and good range of drinks and snacks. Had a very nice cream tea.
Called in whilst walking my dog. Good coffee, good sausage bap all at a reasonable price and quick service with a couple of dog treats thrown in. Very dog friendly with a great outdoor covered area for dogs and their owners in case of rain! Haven't been for a while but will be back!
