It seems Chinese food is a little out of fashion these days.. with the rise of so many other cuisines to choose from. If you want good Chinese food in Leicester....look no further, that's if you can get a table, it's very busy... I asked for a takeaway at first, but they only do one maybe two takeaways a night.. as they want focus on the restaurant. (How refreshing to hear) We managed to get a table for two at short notice and we were on a time limit as the table had been booked for later.
The place isn't massive but it was full and lively... staff are warm & friendly. Sesame Toast & Spare Ribs for starters followed by King Prawn (Ming Style) and Chicken (Szechuan style) I have to say every course was cooked to perfection and ingredients are all quality. I doubt you could find better anywhere in Leicestershire. I highly recommend this place. Anyone who has read other reviews I written will know I don't always give 5 stars... only if it's deserved.

Visited after several years and the food quality has not changed one bit. The most delicious foods and so flavoursome!
Food is OK little over priced for what it was meal felt rushed as we were told had to vacate the table by certain time, service was good but was different with other member of staff one was friendly and one was not so friendly. Little cramped inside and lighting was too dim. Overall its a OK place if you like Chinese Aromatic Duck is nice!!
My family and I have been visiting Yum Sing for at least 10 years, the service and quality is consistent. Soon as you walk in, you get a lovely warm welcome. All the staff are so friendly. One thing that lets this restaurant down is the decor, I think they need to update it.
1st time eating there, would recommend it, service, food and atmosphere were excellent, definitely will be going back.
Brilliant place! Came here as a group of 7, with 2 vegetarians. They allowed us to order the set menu but they adapted it and brought out specific vegetarian dishes separate from the meat ones but kept the same price! Lots of food for the price, and they let us take the leftovers in a bag as there was so much lovely food but we couldn't finish it all! Excellent, friendly staff and lovely warm atmosphere. I'd say it's the best of its genre in Leicester, and I'd absolutely recommend it to everyone!

I used to visit regularly but with a young family, got out of the habit. Visited today and it was as good as ever, easily the best Cantonese food in Leicester. Friendly and attentive service and priced right for the quality of the dishes.
5 stars. Allan and the team are wonderful. Been going here for years. The food is always authentic and the service is great. Prices aren’t the cheapest but the food is worth it. Good wine selection too. Hidden gem in Oadby.
This is honestly THE BEST Cantonese food I've ever had, and defo on my top 3 most favourite foods I've EVER tasted. I would highly recommend Yum Sing. I had sweet 'n' sour chicken with egg fried rice, the coated chicken was delicious and had an amazing texture, as well the scrumptious sauce which was perfectly not too sweet. The egg fried rice was AMAZING and complementary to all the tastes from the chicken. Consistently good, even for take-away!!! All round⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!!

Wow what a find! Such a beautifully decorated place with and the service provided was impeccable. We went on a Tuesday and it's was completely full. Alan and his family went out of their way to explain all the possible vegan options.
The food was served family style on large plates. We had vegan yuk sung and chili potatoes to start, which were both delicious, then an aubergine and a mushroom xo main with chlli rice. All cooked well with great flavour and fresh. Would highly recommended this place, can't believe it's been there 30yrs and I've only just found out about it!!
