The Friary - Leicester - Photo album

Best steak I have had in years really recommend this place if you like steak. Atmosphere and staff very friendly. Waitress with glasses and tattoos went the extra mile. Will be coming back!
Great selection of beer and food, but lots of options were sold out the day we visited the place. I guessed they were the victims of their own success, but we were a bit sad though the we couldn’t have what we wanted try. Great team at the bar and kitchen! Spacious pub, cozy vibe!
First British pub I’ve been to (I’m originally from the US)- and it was great! The chicken katsu was absolutely delicious with such an amazing flavor. My only problem with the dish was the rice, it was glue like. Tasted fine, just a weird texture. Great ambiance and drinks!
Booked a table to watch Rugby (we lost). Good selling point to have a TV on the wall at each table which you can pre-book. Food (burgers and fries) were tasty and the service was happy and helpful. The atmosphere was a bit flat due to the pub being only about 30% full, but I imagine it's much better
Had a great night, on a Saturday brilliant music friendly staff, one complaint could do with staying open later .
What a great night. Watched the rugby then the DJ fired up some great music. Definitely be back for the next big game. Great night.
Great pub and staff were friendly and smiley. The food menu looked great, we had 5 light bites between 2 of us. Very delicious. We sat at a booth to watch the footy which was a great bonus.
Had a lovely time! The Friary is well maintained really organized with excellent hygiene, the toilets are very clean. Also the food was lovely.
I was lucky enough to rent a flat right across from this pub. It quickly became our local for the year. Met pretty much all of the staff there and all were great! Special shout-out to Dan, the great bar man who also introduced us to a metal bar quite close by. He is ginger though which can be quite
Good place for a nice pint, good sides we had as well, very tasty
They do a great mixed grill. It is a big pub, lots of tables, it was busy but we found a table. Got drinks and food. The team of staff were friendly and helpful, which is always a bonus. Will happily return here next time I am in Leicester.
Very friendly staff. Nice food. Good atmosphere.
Enjoyed my meal, the drinks were decent, staff were friendly. Fairly reasonably priced, would recommend getting a cocktail, you get more for your money!
Ordered fish and chips, and tikka masala. Staff checked in on us, which was nice. The place was quiet as it was morning. There's a lot of TV monitors to watch the news or sports.
Essentially a sports bar that sells generous portions of food. You can order food and drink through the mypub app. Can't help thinking they must have an enormous electric bill because of the number of TV's dotted around the place.
Excellent service and food was fantastic. My go to for breakfast while in town
