Red Cow

I always come to the Red cow for food when I’m staying next door .excellent food and drink and good atmosphere. My waitress Daphne needs a special mention a very attentive polite young lady who showed superb customer service and was helpful and mannerly. I hope she is a valued member of the staff as having worked in hospitality myself over 25 years this young lady is a credit to the industry

We were greeted with a smile and a friendly face. The next person we met again was lovely and very friendly. Waitress could answer all of our questions. About Lagers/wines/food choices. Advised we should get more bread with the Camembert which was really helpful. Food was fab. Lovely atmosphere. Really enjoyed our first visit! We will be back.

It was all nice, the man that greeted us and got us seated was pleasant and helpful, maybe it would have been slightly better if he had taken our drinks order straight away instead of coming back 5 minutes later for that but it was not really a problem. The chef cooked me the wrong steak but I was informed and it was not a problem for me. Service was good and everyone was pleasant.

Came here for our Sunday lunch tour of Leicestershire lol snd this time there were 8 of us. Lovely looking venue and really nice inside. Staff were very friendly and attentive. Food was very nice and tasty and the only faults I would say is that the cauliflower cheese didn't come out with much sauce on, We had 3 so wasn't just the one and the burger meal could do with something else on the plate like a side salad to bulk it out. Not the cheapest of places and we didn't know about the compulsory £4.50 per head service charge they add for groups of 8 or more which came to an extra £36 total to the bill. There is parking but can be a tight fit if there are many cars already parked up. We will be back here again though as did enjoy it.
