The food was amazing as always. Have been coming here for years and find it impossible to get tired of. The breakfast has such a unique taste that it is only found here in this restaurant. Their buffet at night is also very tasty. Would recommend this to anyone wanting to try a very authentic Pakistani cuisine.

Halwa puri and chana was good. We liked the plain naan and tea too. Nihari taste was not authentic. They accept payment in cash so you need to make sure that you carry enough.

Nice reasonable food at a reasonable price. We found no issues with hygiene for the halwa puri channa breakfast. They even arranged a parking spot for us. Staff was nice and the food arrived promptly. A must visit for some 'desi' breakfast. Ignore photo 1 but 2nd one with orange juice is the middle is Asli Zaiqa photo

Great food at great prices. They offer a typical pakistani breakfast on Sundays which consists of nihari (lamb shank curry), halwa-chana puris, haleem, paya (trotter curry) and chana (chickpea curry). It's very authentic and my families favourite breakfast in Leicestershire

Asli Zaiqa in Leicester stands as a beacon of authentic Pakistani cuisine, especially for those craving a taste of home. Their breakfast offerings are a delightful journey through the flavors of Pakistan. The channy (chickpeas), nihari (slow-cooked meat stew), and paye (trotters) are cooked to perfection, brimming with traditional spices and aromas that transport you to the bustling streets of Lahore or Karachi. The star of the show, however, is their Halwa Puri. This classic Pakistani breakfast dish is arguably the best in town, balancing the sweet halwa with perfectly fried, fluffy puris. The quality, coupled with reasonable prices, makes Asli Zaiqa my go-to spot for a Desi breakfast experience. Only when suggestion, always ask the waitress to read back your order to make sure, they have written down correctly what you are ordering. While I haven’t ventured into their English breakfast options, their extensive menu caters to diverse tastes. For those looking to explore more of their offerings, Asli Zaiqa also hosts a Pakistani Halal buffet from 5-10 pm, which I am eagerly looking forward to trying. This place is a must-visit for anyone in Leicester seeking authentic Pakistani flavors at pocket-friendly prices.
