The battered sausages and chips are the best. If you ask for fresh cod large size, it's decent a tad oily in the sense the batter can be soft not like grimsby but its still decent so that's why we keep going back.
Famous for their "cash only" policy and also Leicestershire largest menu (go in to the shop and look left), Oadby chippy chips are decent. If you want chilli powder though, make sure you got a bit of time as our shaker was jammed when we ordered.

Oadby chippy seems to have improved a bit .ive asked friends who go there and they have given it a five star rating and gd prices and also very nice chips they say and very large helpings

You must try the chips here. They were crunchy right till meal completion at home. Would recommend for this, but did not try the fish or other items
One of the best fish and chip suppers I've had in a long time. The fish was very well cooked with a lovely texture plus nice chips as well. Crisp and grease free, a support that scores highly and one I'd recommend without hesitation.
Have ordered twice and am impressed with the quality of curries. They don't have oil or ghee oozing out of them and are not salty. Perfect taste. Really impressed
Best fish n chips in Leicester by a country mile. Batter nice and thin, cooked fresh lovely golden color, crunchy outside with piping hot flaming fish in the middle. Never has issue of batter sticking to the paper. Can’t wait to try other dishes. Food served is halal which is a bonus!
Only really order the fish and chips. The fish is decent but it's the chips which are really old style big fat lovely chips. Ask the food is halal. Limited parking outside. No seating inside.
Apart from me ordering the wrong food it still was a beautiful meal. We travelled across Leicester to get it - it’s that good. The customer service does need improving but the food has never disappointed any time I’ve had it and tonight was no exception.
