My first visit of this restaurant on Sunday afternoon, the place was totally empty :D but never mind. I came there to eat not to see people and to tell you truth it was an excellent choice! We took as a start delicious onion rings with mayo and as the main dish BBQ double chicken burger and Double beef blue cheeseburger with extra dips. Very tasty meals with decent amount of french fries. I really love this place, I will visit it soon again!

Nice place to hang out with friends over some wings and excellent milkshakes. Could not find alcohol on there menu. Ample of seating space. Have got stairs at the entrance so no wheelchair accessible. Staff is very friendly. Parking space to accommodate 10-15 vehicles. Ambassador Shake and Siracha Wings are a Classic.

I hadn’t been to Tinseltown in a while and the milkshake was still as good as I remembered. Service however wasn’t, maybe it was a slow day but I only saw one staff for the whole restaurant. The restaurant was also pretty empty, I think it’s time for some revamping and adverts lest they die down.

One of my favourite places in Leicester for food, good quality, good environment and good staff!

Pretty cool place. Best milkshakes in town! Once you walk in you really feel this American sort of atmosphere around you. The decorations are nice, the service is good and the food great too! If you are there make sure you try one of the milkshakes!

Service and food were perfect. I was served quickly and the Texan-dog was to die for.

This place does amazing sugar laden desserts and milkshakes. I have been 2 times first time just for desserts and milkshakes the 2nd time for my daughters birthday. They ordered from the children's menu, but the food was quite low quality- gristly burgers, which is a shame. They brought the cake out and they played music and lots of celebs came onto the TV screens to say happy birthday which was a lovely touch.
I think the decor is good, the price is also good and the only downside apart from the food is that the service isn't always great. Some of them are nice some are a bit 'I don't care, whatever' types'. Which is a shame as I think of it as a fun place and you would expect the staff to be fun.
Definitely worth a try for milkshakes and pudding!

I last visited Tinseltown about 10 years ago when it first opened up in Leicester and the hype was heavy; I didn't enjoy it at all.
More recently, one night, we decided to go and then it flopped and even more recently, we decided to go because we were hungry and it had been a long day!!
10:30pm - Parked up in the car park right opposite, and went inside to be greeted by an American waitress. Very helpful, understanding, spoke clearly, had a few laughs and giggles!
Shown to our table, ordered a Phillycheesesteak and double cheeseburger meal, which took about 15minutes to come out. Tasted amazing, both of them! Succulent patties, melted cheese and it was beautiful.
Great customer service all around. The American waitress and the other lady on the restaurant floor, impeccable service and respect shown!
If there was something that bought the atmosphere down, was the noise level in that place. Too much noise, but of no fault of Tinseltown!
Banging diner! Beaut food! Bang on service!!!

Was in Leicester for the day after visiting the national space centre with my nephews. Searched Google for American restaurants and this place popped up. Not bad at all. Good food, good service. Could have done with a little more on my plate but that's probably just me being greedy lol.

Awful service and very much a butler approach towards customers. We waited to be seated and a couple was told to follow us we were quickly seated not informed what the ordering process would be just menus slammed down and then left to our devices. Not the question “have you dined with us before?” Which is pretty standard protocol in the restraunt business. After waiting for over 20 minutes the young waiter served the couple who walked in after us. Then we were not served for another 5 minutes after this. So either there wasn’t enough staff on, lack of training or in general no consideration for its customers. After waiting for this long we asked to be served having to leave our own table. No apology just I will be over. The floor manager if you can call him that as I don’t think he was capable of making a cup of tea asked what we would like to drink. We order a coke and a Diet Coke and our food. Then what was placed on our table was a Diet Coke and 7-up we looked at the drinks with confusion. However he had already left and went to another table. We had to call this so called “manager” back and inform him the drinks were wrong. Then he told me that I ordered a 7-up aggressively. What happened to the customers always right? So I told him we ordered a coke to which he shook his head at took the drink back and no comment of when our food was coming or if I was going to be served with the correct drink. After the extensive waiting time and appalling service we realised the food was probably going to be a selection of carrots if we ordered a burger. We walked out pleasantly told them to cancle the food order. This was after waiting for our correct drink to be brought back. The manager and all staff were given ample opportunity’s to make what was a very negative experience into a positive one. There was no effort out in and really shows you that this particular restraunt within the chain doesn’t care about making money or it’s customers. I will no longer visit whilst such poorly trained staff our in place. Star city Birmingham branch

Booked my daughter’s birthday there. Pre ordered menu was wrong. Service was poor and the place was really dirty. Complete disaster!

Staff were ignorant, food wasn’t fantastic. Not child friendly AT ALL. Definitely won’t be returning!

Absolutely rubbish. Just bundled with tons of cheap cream. Wouldn't recommend

Didn't know it was a alcohol free place but the food was good, went there for my grandsons birthday and they made it very special.

Not bad, a few too many screaming kids and staff that don't always pay attention. Food is nice and simple, burns little over priced in my mind. There is better value food and quality to be had elsewhere.
Different ambience and plenty of character at this venue with the photo's on the walls. Milk shakes are great.

Food was lovely!
Staff however just stood around the bar talking and barley spoke to us

Extensive all Halal menu. Pulled Beef Nachos are very good (Y). Texan BBQ range is good as well

The food has always been excellent, in fact it's the food that brings me back because the service is appalling. Ayesha is the politest and happiest member of staff there. The rest are rude, unhappy and spend most of the time talking to each other at the bar.
When waiting to pay I was ignored at the bar by 3 members of staff after waiting 5 minutes prior to this at my table to pay.
Service standards haven't changed in 2 years so we expect it to be bad now every time we go there.

Tinseltown has my heart! I loved the Cajun chicken burger, with their OMG dip! The banoffe waffles are amazing. One of the best American diners in Leicester very close to the city centre.

One of the best Milkshakes to get at late night.

Great in taste. Quite heavy and thicc.
Variety of milkshakes to select from.

Highly recommend to my DMU students.

Cheers

One of my favourite places in Leicester for fast food, desserts and shakes. I loved the New York Cheese Cake over here. Then it was the Cajun burger and chicken wings were relishing.
Permarexics
It was overall an enjoyable dinner and the portions certainly lived up to expectations of being an American meal. Price wise, it was slightly more expensive compared to what you might otherwise get elsewhere for possibly similar types of food, though portion size might also be reduced. As it is opened till late (1130am-2am from Sunday to Thursday and 1130am to 3.30am on Fridays and Saturdays), it would be a nice place to have some milkshakes late at night when those sinful cravings kick in.
