Our favorite restaurant in Shetland! We ate here three times and were warmly greeted by the proprietress despite our meager command of the French language. The food was perfectly prepared — we loved the haddock as well as the monkfish mains. The food is French with a Spanish (?basque) influence. The
Absolutely delicious and very authentic tiny French restaurant run by a family. We had scallops as well as the large prawns, and fabulous homemade bread and butter. The decor and atmosphere inside is authentic and very artistic French and modern.
Such a beautiful cafe/restaurant. Great, cosy decor. Lovely couple owners. Very delicious meals.
We went for breakfast on our honeymoon in Oct a few months ago - I had the best croque monsieur!
The owner had also kindly opened up her shop across the road for us even while under-staffed. Thank you!
Went there to have desert with my girlfriend - had a creme brulee, i hadn't had one in so long it was absolutely delicious, I wanted to order a second one soooo bad. The variety of tea is rare, tea lovers you have to stop there! 🍵 thank you very much! Hope you have a good summer!
And wonderful talki
Wow, what a find. I'm actually pleased that the first couple of restaurants we tried were full.
Lovely, small French cafe / restaurant close to Charlotte's Fort in Lerwick.
The food is devine, the service was very polite and helpful. You do really need to book ahead for an evening meal.
Shame Ler
Quality food and great ambience.
Best ham and cheese toastie I've ever had! I'll pop in again tomorrow to get another one 😉
What an unexpected treat to find a traditional French bistro in Lerwick. The food was delicious, It is so rare to be surprised by cuisine like this even in France these days. If this was in London, I would eat here 3x a week. Come on Lerwick council, give them their alcohol license. Un Grand Bravo,
A hidden gem on the quiet end of the commercial Street in Lerwick. The food was superb, filling and larger portions. Obvious care was taken in the meal's preparation.
The crab pasta was just the right balance of veg and crab. The Spanish Cassoulet was hearty, well spiced.
HINT: it is unlicensed so
A small cafe/restaurant with great food, ideal place for couples to have a quiet meal without the noise of larger establishments. I love the Spanish cassoulet but should probably try something different next time I visit.
Featuring an eclectic menu (omelette, tapas, seafood…) and choices that may be demand- and Brexit-constrained (come prepared to be flexible with your choices), this is a café where le langue française emanates from the kitchen.
Lobster wasn’t available but locally-sourced crab was, a happy substitu
If I could give it more stars I would. Refined, delicious flavors. The fruit compote in a bed of cream is out of this world! We couldn’t wait to get back to Lerwick to enjoy it again!
Best Crėme Brulée I ever had! And the tuna main was delicious as well. Merci!
Superb family run restaurant. The soup we had for lunch was delicious, great service and friendly atmosphere.
Book as soon as you arrive on Shetland, if not before.
Everything I’ve had here is amazing. It’s a shame someone put the wrong opening hours on google. I almost didn’t show up.
I had a great lunch. The owners are very nice and the variety of food is exceptional for the restaurants here. The photo
Excellent place, authentic cuisine with a French twist, nice owner, charming interior
