The Coach Inn

Was very dissapointed in the food here. I would have given 1 star but the service was good just the quality and quantity of food was poor. I payed £12 for a steak and ale pie that contained 3 pieces of steak and was not a pie but a bowl with a pastry top of which the majority was burnt onto the rim so I couldn't eat it. My wife's fish and chips was quoted as boneless and skinless yet it had more bones in it than the local grave yard. The atmosphere here is good as is the service but the food is not. Go for a pint or two but I would avoid the food.

A fantastic place. So beautiful with lots of atmosphere and charm. All of the staff were very welcoming and extremely attentive. The food was delicious and served very quickly, the beer was spot on. As a family of four we couldn't have been happier with our experience and look forward to visiting again when we come back next year.

Good venue, friendly staff, food was ok. Sunday dinner only during visit (I actually approve of smaller menus even if I'm not a Sunday dinner person). We were probably last table and they apologised for the slower service. Should you go? Yes. The pub is great and the staff are lovely, food service can be improved. Should you eat here, yes, but the food is just ok so don't expect amazing.

After a beautiful walk on Boulmer Beach we were starving. Sadly we were turned away from the Fishing Boat Inn because we had our dog with us. (unless we wanted to have our meal on the outside decking in 2 degree temp early December). So instead we walked back to the car and headed for the Coach Inn. Both us and our dog were greeted like family and had some amazing meals. Thank you for the wonderful service and we promise you will be our first port of call if we walk in the area again.

Found them on the Doggie pubs app where they had a good rating, Turned up on Friday with two large Newfoundlands and no booking hoping to get a table. The staff were great and couldn't do enough to make space and accommodate us, brought iced water for the dogs and were generally very attentive all evening. The beer was good, The food was great, I would happily go there again and would certainly recommend it to others.
