We booked here for a last-minute event. We had a meal at the bar and grill, and it was incredible. The menu had a great choice, but with a focus on steaks and burgers. My husband had the ultimate burger, which was so tasty the burnt ends were mouth watering, and the small pan of gravy on the side we both used to dunk our chips.
I had the small 8oz rump steak (there was a 32oz tomahawk steak on the menu, but I don't think we could have finished that between us! ) the steak was a little more cooked than I would have liked, I asked for medium rare, it was more medium than rare, but it was very tasty and the skin on rosemary salted chips were so good (especially pared with the gravy on my husband's plate. The wine that was recommended to go with the steaks went down very well.
The menu made a few drink suggestions with the food, which I thought was a great idea.
The dessert menu was limited but tasty. The sharer platter looked good, but ultimately, we had our own. I had the brownie sundae, which was so decadent the chocolate brownie was so rich it was almost like fudge, the raspberry cheesecake was a lighter dessert, with a lovely shortbread crumb. π

This is a lovely Hotel good service and food. The decor is fresh and clean me and my future husband are staying there in November for our honeymoon. π€ X
Had a birthday lunch here on Monday, great service, nice food and they brought out our cupcakes singing "Happy Birthday" to me and had decorated the plate, really nice touch. Credit to the team β€

Really good experience, the food is nice, the pub has a great service and the rooms are nice and big.
Fab birthday Lunch here .Had the hunters chicken and it was amazing, everyone else loved their meals too.Staff are always so friendly and we were served very quickly. Love this place,it's local to me so we go there quite a bit .there's such a nice and welcoming atmosphere

We had a lovely lunch on our recent trip to Leven. Mixed chicken starter for two and a desert π yum π Staff were great and friendly. We had planned to go back for the highly recommended fish and chips but our plans changed and we had to move on. Next time though π
Great hotel for a local stay. Staff could not have been more helpful. While the bedroom was a little tired it was spotless and spacious. The restaurant (you got 20% discount voucher) was well organized. Due to the hotel being full I was glad we booked. The menu was shortened often as items sold out. The roast dinner was amazing and as an FYI you don't need to order extra veg, plenty on the plate. Staff again we're so helpful keeping an eye and arranging top up drinks as and when required. Definitely would visit again.
The family just had a lunch there. Meals were okay, the roast could have done with more gravy. Childs pizza was small, but not available on the adult meals.
Nice pub, plenty of selection at the bar, went for a birthday meal, was quiet at the time but the staff were great, king prawns for starters, had to strip the skin off which was a little messy but tasted delicious, they even brought me a small bowl to clean my hands in at the table, which was a nice touch. steak pie had a short crust instead of puff pastry, but the gave me the heads up on this when I ordered which I thought was a nice touch, really canβt fault the place or the staff
We had a chicken skewer and a prawn skewer. Everything was nice except the prawn was a bit chewy. Draught, wine and espresso were good. Friendly staff.
Good hotel, with friendly staff and a bar serving the usual range of pub grub. We have stayed here several times, and it's always been a very good.stay. Yes, the rooms are a bit 'tired' and would benefit from a lick of paint; the floorboards creak, and the furniture has taken a few knocks. So why the five stars? Well despite the 'tired' appearance, our rooms were spotlessly clean - well done cleaning staff! - and a generous size, which made our stay very comfortable. Together with the friendly staff and the decent bar food, it was good value, and we hope to stay here again on our next trip.

I'm giving this place full stars. Not because it's amazing , as its far from that. Some doors weren't secure , the wee girl in reception had a wee bit too much lip filler and the carpets could have doubled for a scratch and sniff menu of the past decades. However , they were friendly, the rooms were OK ish and it was well priced and dog friendly. The bar is a green Kings group number so typical bar food and ales . All in all value for money so no , I can't complain. π
went for dinner and loved it. the service was great and will definitely be back
