It was an experience, from the grounds, to the picnic and obviously the opera house. It was a mixed type of audience, different ages groups of friends and colleagues. Nice relaxed atmosphere. The performance was good, a slow start but warmed up with the character of Iris. Overall pick an opera yo
Fantastic experience from beginning to end. Wonderful opera, divine surroundings and a delightful atmosphere. We saw Rake’s progress with David Hockney’s stage design & costumes and it was beautiful.
Went to the open Garden event. Beautiful countryside and gardens. Unfortunately, the weather was against us for a picnic, so we thought we'd go for a cream tea, but so did everyone else and they closed the kitchen. Definitely want to return in September for the next open garden.
The auditorium was a

Glyndebourne is a well established part of the English summer season. The opera festival started in 1934 and has developed into a slick cultural event. Very well organised with lots of "picnic" options. Worth getting there early for the best spots in the garden if you're bringin
A wonderful experience right through from the venue, performance, food and service. Excellently run event. Dining options range from taking your own picnic, large groups seemed to go for this option, collecting a ready prepared picnic at the venue or restaurant dining options. Ample facilities so no
Wonderful afternoon and Evening wandering around the fantastic gardens watching an Opera and picnic in the grounds. Memorable visit
Sheer joy! Luxury picnicking in a leisurely way. Champagne and canapés topped with a live theatrical wonder. I would like an associate membership, please!
We went to Schubert string quartet. Amazing performance. The grounds here are superb. Very friendly and accessible.
A wonderful experience, both before and during the opera. The gardens are lovely and perfect for a picnic and a stroll around the pond. The theatre inside is beautiful and the opera stage is of medium size and feels very personal. Everybody looks summery and wonderful each year, although things are
It's an opera experience you never will have in central London. Great staging. The performance is always in good quality. Great park for picnic when the weather is right. Friendly and helpful staff. We had dinner at the restaurant, pricey but good food.
Magical gardens, wonderful Opera. Helpful staff. Lots of dining options, including bringing ones own picnic.
Very well run place staff are friendly and very helpful. The garden's are stunning
Enjoyed Semele. Inspired performance and stage. The venue and surrounding gardens are divine. A perfect afternoon.
A quintessentially English opera experience. Superb opera productions with brilliant performers, outstanding sets and costumes. Add to that the setting of Sir Christie's estate in the middle of the English countryside which plays host to the traditional 90 minute intervals picnic. Who could wish for
Went to see La Boheme here in October. Lovely auditorium and great performance. Every care taken to make it a premium experience, which is fair enough, given the ticket prices! The gardens were lovely and I would have liked longer to look around. There were marquees available to picnic indoors as we
Not my favourite opera this time but impeccable presentation and classic Glyndebourne ambience as ever
L’elisir d’Amore was so much more fun than I could have imagined. We were second in the small queue of cars to enter and with lots of time and few other guests to compete with the 4 of us chose two benches between which to set up our table of grub and drinks. A couple of splatters of rain we endured
I went to Glyndebourne to see Semele which a friend, Stephanie Wake-Edwards, was singing in. She was amazing. The production was interesting though some things were a little jarring, a couple of male characters and their behaviour towards their female counter parts could have been more carefully cho
Excellent to get to see theatre again. Handled very well. You get a track and trace form to fill out on arrival in the car park then the staff on entry check your temperature and take the forms. Seats are spaced two seats apart. It feels like boutique opera - it’s not busy. You have to wear your mas
