Came for a late Sunday lunch.
Staff attentive and friendly.
We had pork lunch which was nicely presented.
However some of the veg were over cooked probably had been cooked much earlier.
Roast potatoes and parsnips were not good.plenty of meat and good crackling
Cauliflower cheese bought as an extra was delicious. Good beer
Overall worth a visit at the right time of day.

Food was lovely. Had Fish and Chips. The downside was 2 large pieces of fish with very few chips and garden peas served in a ramekin. It was served on a grubby looking piece of wood. Couldn't eat the peas as they rolled off the wood when tipping them out of the ramekin. Would much rather have it all on a plate! Apart from that it was a lovely lunch and nice staff

Took my Mom along for a quick lunch, first since the Owl reopened. Just wanted to mention how lovely and attentive the staff were. Makes all the difference.

Traditional and very pleasant pub with very good service, several food options and a comfortable outdoor area for summer days. A place I definitely want to go back to try the foods.

8 of us had a fantastic experience today at The Owl. The food was all lovely and appeared and tasted fresh and home made (no way to know for sure). All 8 of us commented how lovely the food was. Ben the young waiter could not have been more polite or helpful if he tried, an absolute credit to tye establishment and I guess his parents.
Will deffo go again.

This pub has changed hands many times in the past. But it has been The Owl for a few years now and it's longevity is plain to see when you visit. Nice decor, pleasent helpful staff, great selection of beers and excellent food at a reasonable price. The lady that served me was not put out by me tasting a couple of the hand pulled ales before I chose. Food was delivered in a timely manner and was enough to satisfy.

Extremely disappointing visit to this establishment. We ordered the lamb dish and salmon dish from the Sunday lunch menu. The roast potatoes and stuffing were cremated and luke warm. The parsnips were so hard they were inedible. The accompanying red cabbage was shrivelled and overcooked with the beans, carrot and greens virtually raw. The lamb looked at least half edible but complained and was presented with a fresh dish and replacement vegetables. Everything came out the same however this time the lamb was rock hard, a smaller portion and very gristly. All in all the only thing I could eat on the plate was the Yorkshire pudding. We were not charged for the lamb dish but overall extremely disappointed and will not be going back.

Vile
Had a black pudding scotch egg just grease horrible
Main- ment to be skillet of Cajun chicken with veg tortillas and hummus
Wasn’t sizzling at all.
Chicken was bland couldn’t taste any spice
Tortillas-stale
And the hummus had a crust on it and water was just chucked in the bowl smeared everywhere...
Worst meal out in a long time
Gross
Partners meal-chips looked liked they’d been cooked 300times and his pie was rock hard
I asked for some hot sauce or sweet chilli because I said politely it was bland and tasteless, couldn’t taste any seasoning or spice, came out 5 mins later with a bowl of microwaved sweet chilli sauce with parsley and coriander in I said wow ok what’s this. The waiter said oh the chef is just experimenting think he was.
Service was slow
All round bad experience
Would never go again...

We came for Sunday lunch and to be honest it wasn't great!! We both had beef and Yorkshire pudding which was cooked to perfection but the large goose fat roast potatoes were a joke !!!!! We got half a potatoe each and one very small raw parsnip !!! The carrots and cabbage were also raw the creamy leeks were burnt the red cabbage had seen better days but the hottest thing in the entire meal was the mashed swede !!!! The waitress came out holding the plates with a tea towel like the plates were red hot but they were stone cold !!!!!!! We came all the way from Derby too !!!!! We won't be going again !!!! Very disappointed to say the least !!

Visited for lunch, found the staff really polite and attentive. Only had a sandwich (Bacon, brie and cranberry and a roasted veg and mozzarella) which were both nice enough and served with a good portion of fries. Nice, warm atmosphere but what stood out was the friendliness and helpfulness of the young staff, both the bar man and the lovely waitress. We will visit again.

Visited for a leaving lunch from work, we all chose the baguette option. The Bacon on the bacon Brie and cranberry was under cooked and very fatty, there was the smallest amount of Brie imaginable inside. The hot roast pork and stuffing option fared just as bad, two small pieces of pork at either end with a dollop of dry stuffing in the middle. Complained to the staff who only offered an apology. Will not be visiting again.

If I could I'd give it a big fat 0 I would !! Went there Boxing Day for my birthday lunch with family and it was an absolute DISASTER!!Wrong wine, wrong food plus poor quality on both- food and the service. Got our drinks for free but had to pay for food - we should have just walked out without paying a penny ,yet again we got charged full price for a meal. Huge huge disappointment! Will never go back...

Fab and funky decor and amazing food! Kids portion and quality was really good for my two hungry boys. Sharer options were fantastic with a good range of foods to pick. Will be going back for a date night without the kids

Service was quick foot was yummy the blonde waitress was amazing the rainman of orders! However we had one moody waitress who even huffed at me when I said my son ordered chocolate sauce on his ice cream, the kids food should have come out first imo, The kids menu has a brilliant colouring in feature but no crayons. So chef you were brilliant the place was warm clean and nice blonde lady you have a brilliant memory
